Black Nail Polish?

Friday, August 17, 2007

So as I prepare my nail polish colors for fall, I wanted to hear your feedback on the color black.  Now I loved this color last winter but is it in or out according to you?  What colors do you love, and are looking forward to wearing this fall?

Well I still like the colour and on occasion I'll wear that or one in a similar tone. I love my pinks and irridescent browns though. Oh and I also like silvers and my nudes/clears. The new colour I'm digging though is this beautiful irredescent, pale purple, oh I'm in love lol. Love yoursELF.

To me, classic short manicured black nails will always be in. Granted not something like last summer where it was an everyday wear. Maybe one night to hit up the town. As far as dark color nail polishes for the fall, I'd like to see a nice deep rich brown or dark red or a purple (think Chanel's "Vamp" & "Tulipe Noire")

I think black would be cute! I know it sounds crazy but i luv colors that stand out, especially HOT PINK! Also, I think that creamy pink, light sky blue, and a lilac puple would be cute colors.

I think black nail polish will always be in but i would like to see deep almost black purples and reds. Also natural peachy pinks and pearl whites have always been a fave of mine. I can't seem to find a flatering subtle gold shimmer. I would like to see that.

Black is in for me. I'd love to have black nails but I don't have many nail polish colors! I also love colors that pop out at you like a light green color. What about white nail polish? Is it in or out?

I'm an old fashioned kind of girl and I stick with my favs. The first polish I ever bought was from Miss Marion Frosted Garnet, which is getting harder and harder to find these days. On my toes, I use dark colors. When I was a teenager, long, long I used to paint my toes black and leave my pinks and pastel blue open over night so it would get kinda thick, so I could do splash art work on them. Of course, this led to me doing the same for my friends who wanted the same thing.... lucky me. LOL!

I still love black...and the other "vampy colors. Pinks and reds can be for every day but I love doing a French with black tips! Also, would love to see rich, deep blues, purples, or burgundys.

Black is very classy but if you don't have a perfect tan or your really pale like i am, n\black will just look stupid on you because black is to HARSH FOR YOUR SKINTONE!!!! rich purbles and deep browns are good. i love red polish for fall. bright pinks are good for the summer, winter is definetly icy colours like light blue and silver and for spring think light pinks, nudes, and other spring colours. a french manicure is good for all year but especially for the summer where you can show them off in sandles, flipflops and peeptoes!

I love black nair polish on short nails. It looks really glamorous and fierce. I've love to see ELF carry it, especially since the girl I lent mine to seems not to be inclined to give it back.

I would love it if you included black in your fall pallat. I know it goes in and out but I am not sick of it. Done correctly it can look very classy. I would also suggest a deep raspberry.

I think black is so sexy I love it and you all the singers wearing it. I also like fun bright colors, it be cool if you had colors like hot pinks, oranges, purples, blues, yellows, and greens because they look flattering on almost ever skintone. But I hate polishes that go on to sheer because you have to put on too many coats to get an even, solid color like OPI.

Black can look fine but it just depends on who is rocking the color on their nails. Sometimes skin complexions do not work so well with the color black on the nails.

I love black nail polish. I think it's a great dark sexy, mysterious color, that looks perfect on a dramatic type fastionista. I was thrilled that this color became popular and no longer limited to the Gothic kids, because although it's a color you sometimes have to work with, it's also one that's easy to make a bold statement with. I'm wearing it as I type.

I think black nail polish can be used any season. It all depends on what you feel like for that day. I only own two colors that I ware, though. Black, and glow in the dark.

I still like black, but I'm also liking the other deep colors I'm starting to see, like navy and chocolate, etc. Of course, a red that's very nearly black is timeless. I love these colors on short, well-manicured nails, and on toenails.

Although I've never tried it, the black polish looks really high fasion on celebs. I love Lauren Conrad's nails. They always look really chic on The Hills. I'm a real girly girl, and I rarely ever wear black on anything, but hopefully I'll get the guts to try it!

Black is definitely still in. Its the outfit and the makeup of the people with the black polish that influences how we feel about the color. We associate it with Gothic and vampires and everything our pray we stay away from. The truth is it can be very classic and sophisticated. I love the black french tip I've been seeing. I think thats a wonderful twist on a classic style.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Black nail polish. It only looks good on short nails though, which is good for me because I keep my nails short. So in and looks good on everybody no matter what color. Also LOVE white nail polish. I'm all about the drama.

i don't have anything against the color black, but it is heading out. sure, it'll always be classy, but so original. if you like dark colors, deep brown is always good. but summers almost here, how about a baby blue?

I think that black is still in. Many of my friends still use it. I dont just becuase i dont think it looks right on me. But I DO go for the very dark colors which are ALMOST black. I have many super dark purples and reds. And a couple blacks with purple or bronze sparkles. Which are very nice for the fall and winter =)
