OMG

Friday, April 25, 2008

Alright to all you gossip girls, here’s something to really gossip about…after all the well waited suspense and sexy commercials alas Gossip Girl has returned! Last Monday was their first episode back, and I must say it is my guilty pleasure. I think it’s because it reminds me of a young Sex and the City. The wardrobe alone is worth watching for. What do you think, is this a must tiVo show, or are you a fan of another TV show that you become introverted for? How do you prepare for the show? Is it pj's and ice cream or a ladies night with drinks? Let’s hear the behind the scenes from the fans themselves.
xoxo

I'm not a huge TV-watcher, (especially since we don't have one at the moment,) but the show I will endlessly hunt out is The Office, be it by watching on-line episodes on my lap-top or by annoying friends who have TiVo, I love this show. And it accepts me whenever I want to watch it. Whether I'm in pajamas or got back from something formal, I feel no judgement from Micheal or Pam. Maybe from Angela, but I ignore it.

i dont watch much tv but there's 3 shows i HAVE to watch, gossip girl being one of them (greys anatomy and private practice being the other 2). i think its a tivo must. since most college students are broke, such as i am, i just watch it online at their website, every fridayy i set aside time for my TV =] its deff an ice cream and being cozy in bed that is the best for these shows.

Unfortunately, I learned the older you are the less you watch. Being a Univ. graduate and have gone back again for school I haven't had much time for TV. Although, I do make time for Heroes, or maybe Disney shows on weekends. However I do rely on watching videos (tutorials) online now. I rarely spend my days watching TV.

Every sunday when desperate housewives is on, my mom and I (I`m the one who got her addicted not the other way around) have a pedicure night. We use her foot bath and take turns while we watch desperate housewves. And for me it`s so much fun because since I`m a teenager we don`t always get along (well basically never) this gives us a chance to just hang out and have fun.

I am an unashamed fan of all the Flavor of Love/I Love New York/Rock of Love shows on Vh1. I don't watch much TV, but what I do watch is the trashiest of all the trashy shows. I don't put too much preparation into watching my shows, as if you turn on the TV at least one of them seems to be on. I might grab a bag of chips or something to nibble during commercials, but I'm not the type to plan my TV watching ahead of time.

I do not like the show. Not because it's racy, it's just not a good show, and I don't watch crappy shows. But their scandal regarding their advertising featuring the acronym OMFG was ridiculous, and I wish they hadn't caved to the pressure and changed it to OMG. It had no swear words in it, and you have to know what it stands for beforehand to even get the F part. It was asinine for people to freak out over a letter.

I've honestly never watched Gossip Girl, I'm just not a big fan of those sex and the city type shows. But I love the show Lost, I can't get enough of Dr. Jack Sheppard. Usually a prepare for a night watching the show by throwing on my pjs, turning off all the lights, and getting comfy in my bed.

To prepare for the show, I get myself comfy and fresh faced -- because after the show, that's when its time to copy their looks and get dolled up for no good reason :)

I just love the characters and although Blaire is the stereotypical brat from highschool, I still enjoy her acting on the show.

i will never miss an episode of ANTM, it is just so good. i'll make time on wednesdays to watch it, and if i'll be missing it i'll have it recorded to my DVR. and whenever they show the reruns on MTV or VH1, i'll sit around in my PJ's all day just to watch it. i have to say, those days are usually my favorites.

I must say that there is no show that keeps you glued to the edge of the couch like, the "L Word", even if your part of the straight population or not, you have to admit that the your curiosity will get the best of you. And no ladies L does not stand for Love, I'll let you figure that one out...

However, I have class on Monday nights and I'm a little addicted to Samantha Who and a couple of other shows on the same night. PS The Samantha Who wardrobe is fabulous as well

I've only seen the show once or twice but even that is enough to understand the eye-candy appeal of the cast. Of course all the teen angst and drama and the not so teen vocabulary and wit that makes the show irresistible. All that being said the new risque ads are a little over the top for me. I understand the network says the "target audience" is 18-35 year old females but come on these characters are supposed to be high school kids! I realize teens today are more "sophisticated" but how many of you really had the kind of sex depicted in that "OMFG" ad on this blog when you were 17? As if teens needed more of a reason to be sexually active.
