Ahh those little red, black and white uninvited quests, pop up to all of us (and if you don’t get pimples, gasp are you are a super human?). So we all have are tips, trick and remedies to combat these nasty invaders. My favorite item is the Tea Tree Blemish Stick, besides the awakening stimulation on contact, this natural ingredient fights and heals not only blemishes but scars, insect bites, and skin irritations too. What are your pimple-be-gone secrets?

My favorite is to use a antibiotic first aid ointment (like Neosporin or Bactine) at the first sign of a blemish. Every time I use it, my blemishes quickly disappear, leaving me stress-free!

So nice to see someone debunking the myth that pimples go away after your teens and early twenties. My fav? GREEN. I went green long before it was in vogue. It covers a multitude of flaws.

I think a key thing to prevent/control pimples is resisting the urge to touch them and pick them. Our hands are full of bacteria and touching our face will only exacerbate the problem. It can be tempting but the results are not worth it.

For pimples, I think it is important to leave them alone, and drink some water to cleanse your body. The Tea Tree Blemish Stick sounds for scars and insect bites too! When it's summer at NY, the mosquitoes are out to get me.

I generally use a pretty generous amount of Salicylic acid before I go to bed at night -- when I remember to. Mostly though, I've given up on fighting them, I figure they'll go away with puberty.

My pimple be gone secret is using toothpaste. When I brush my teeth I dab a little on spots where I can feel them want to burst on out. After I wash my face it also leaves a fresh minty feeling on my face/spots. Til this day I haven';t had to deal with pimples.

I find that drinking a lot of water really helps my skin. When I do get a breakout, however, I use a little dab of Neutrogena Rapid Clear Spot Eliminating Gel. It works so well. Like it says on the box, there really is noticeable improvement in 8 hours. I also just make sure to wash my face before I go to bed at night.

I have fought with pimples my whole live. They are slowly getting better with age. My tip is to wash the area with really warm water and then put toothpaste of your standard over the counter pimple cream on it. The trick is not to over do it. Do not touch it too much.

De-Stress! I find when I'm constantly worried about something, that's when I tend to break out, regardless of how strict my skin-care regimen is. Taking time to relax and stay organized/worry-free is how I try to make blemishes disappear. It's usualy easier said than done, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I use a product that started local but is becoming VERY popular very quickly; it is called SKIN FIX and it claims to fix anything (basically) wrong with your skin. I had a heatrash and it got rid of it over night. I have used it on eczema, as well as on blemishes and pimples. It smells very nice, and it is natural!! So check it out! :)

When I have a really red spot from a pimple, I will take a drop of tea tree oil, a drop of honey and mix it on my finger and then pat it on the spot after I wash my face and let it sit overnight. It makes the redness go away the next morning.

I use tea tree oil as well but the line from the body shop since it is all organic. I also use plain white toothpaste paste....on really bad ones overnight. It has to be the plain old kind though, the anti tartar and whitening components tend to aggrivate the skin even more.

Toothpaste dotted on overnight works well to drive out the spot! However, if it continues visit a dermaltologist to make sure its not rosecea, which can look like pimples in slightly more mature ladies who should be past the pimple age.

My secret is always to keep the skin clean and never ever ever go to the bed with makeup on your face! The soaps or acne control lotions with Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide are great to fight against the pimples... E.L.F. would create some Acne Control cosmetics, such as concealer with salicylic acid in there....

My skin scars very easily. If I get a scratch, it turns into a scar. So for pimples I usually put Vaseline on it if it bleeds, this helps to lighten the scar and make the acne scar less noticeable. I think this Tea Tree Blemish stick sounds interesting. Maybe it'll work better for me.

I don't know if it's directly connected but I ate less spicier and greasier and got plenty more sleep. Drinking lots of water also has helped me too. Washing my face every morning and at night has help a bunch too. =)

I have tried everything from different washes to mask. I think the one thing I found that works the best when washing my face was the pre-moistened wipes. This seemed to get my face clean and was quick. I do try to use a scrub once a week. But if anyone was a super solution that works all the time I am all ears. This stuff sounds like it is very handy to have and works in several aspects.

PIMPLES! Seems like I've dealt with them forever. They always pop up right before something big is about to happen no doubt. My parents were always split on the idea of what to do with them. My Dad always told us to leave them alone because when he was a kid with acne that's what his dermatologist would tell him. Of course, he'd go in and they'd pick at them! Haha, oh well. :) Mom always ALWAYS picked at us non-stop, especially right before something was to happen - it was oh picture day! ahh a pimple! oh no, here comes Mom! *FLASH* and it's the WORST school picture ever! The best advice I ever got from my mom was to not do what she did! She and her friends in highschool used to put toothpaste on her pimples. I've heard it does dry them out and help a bit, but she did say that the most important thing to do is wash your face! Day and night! And I can tell you, that when I do lol, it works! :) For cover up I try to avoid using TOO much makeup. It always ends up that the more makeup you put on it, the WORSE it looks. And of course, do NOT pick in the morning when you're getting ready for work, or with dirty hands, etc. Hope that helps! :)

Ugh. Zits. I actually have a bit of a fun way to cover up a spot if it isn't oozing or terribly large. Apply a beauty mark! Use either a stick on jewel or a dot of liquid eyeliner. If you only have one this is great. Dark brown eyeliner on a small spot looks pretty realistic, black is more for an evening out and the jewels are for fun. Victoria's secret makes expensive stick on felt dots that in my book look kind of silly. Save yourself the hassle and DIY. For prevention of the occasional spot, (problem breakouts are usually hormonal in origin necessitating a trip to the derm or general doc. for help.) Gentle cleansing and using beta hydroxy acid and a benzoyl peroxide solution works great. Paula Begoun "The cosmetics cop" has some great info on her website.

A while back my dad (who has diabetes) switched to a new type of blood sugar machine, so he was stuck with hundreds of tiny little sterilized needles that he no longer needed (they are about an inch long, and you pop off the plastic top to reveal a little needle). I grabbed them up quickly! I wash my face, clease the pimple with alcohol, and then use a brand new, very sharp, completely sterilized needle to pop the whitehead. Then I *very gently* push around it to get out all the infection. I then clease it again, and put on a dab of acne cream (there are a million brands). You can get these types of needles for pretty cheap on ebay if you don't want to buy them at the drug store. I also always use redness-relieving eye drops on pimples to get the red out before I dab on a bit of concealer. That works great! Any ideas for blackheads? They are my biggest struggle!!! Happy Mother's Day!!!

I also recommend Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick. The featured ingredient is also Tea Tree Oil. "This blemish stick contains 10 effective natural herbal ingredients including willowbark, nature's version of salicylic acid, which clarifies and gently exfoliates skin to clear pores and help prevent breakouts. Combined with tea tree and juniper oils, known for their antiseptic and astringent qualities, and calendula to reduce inflammation and redness, this concentrated formula keeps your skin clear, naturally." -

I have found that taking the supplement Tumeric works wonders for over all inflammation especially with acne and pimples. I take it orally in pill form 3x a day and up the ante when I am ovulating or having pms. I hear it also comes in a cream but BEWARE tumeric stains yellow in powder form. It is also a bit strong tasting in tincture form so I would stick to pill form. I have suffered 50% less since starting this regimen two months ago.

You have to be diligent with washing your face reguardless. The less you wash, the more you'll break out. I've also learned that no matter what you do there's always going to be some spot you can't get to go away. I hadn't heard of the Tea Tree Blemish Stick before, but just a quick search shows favorable ratings so I may have to try it out.

I was a lucky teenager who didn't get pimples in middle school when everyone else did. I thought I was in the clear! Fast forward to my mid- twenties, when all hell broke lose. I was out and about in the dating and working world with acne like a kid. How embarassing! My mother (who has always had pimple- free, wrinkle- free skin) told me that she exfoliates every single day with a buffing sponge and mild soap, and MOISTURIZER! Now in my 30s (gasp!), I still use the same skin care regimine as my mother, and I can honestly say that my skin looks better today than it has in years. And for that occasional pimple pop- up, I use Clean & Clear Spot Treatment, and its gone in a day.

Also, I have very oily skin so if I don't use a good moisturizer especially in the summer, I seem to break out a lot. So I love love love Philosphy's Hope in A Jar, it's pricy but a little goes along way and it really has dramatically improved my skin's oiliness and it's helped even out it's texture. Another thing that I use if I get a pimple is hold a cold pack on it to reduce the redness and swelling.

When I was a teenager skin care and even some special makeup products were cultivated from my mother's kitchen. Cucumber peels for swollen "party" eyes, a little vanilla extract behind the ears, and my favorite was an actual oatmeal scrub/mask. To get rid of blemishes really quick, I'd cut a wedge of lemon and apply it directly to the facial culprit about four or five times a day. Any leftover juice was also great for getting rid of nail stains.

I find that if you drink plenty of water every day it helps keep your skin smooth and clear. But as most of us know that only does so much....I recommend using visine to remove the red from irritated really works! Also be sure to wash your face every night before bed, its so important!

My sister-in-law swears by toothpaste! She stayed with us for a few months and every few nights she'd walk into the living room with little minty green dots all over her face. For the most part, she appeared to have pretty clear skin, so I'd say it must work. Not sure if there is a difference between paste and gel though. :)

Try dabbing on tiny bit of paste style toothpaste right onto the pimple and let it sit for as long as you can handle, overnight if you can and clears up right away. It's best to try this before the pimple comes to a head!

Those acne systems that seem to be everywhere these days that have you put salicylic acid on your skin during the day and benzoyl peroxide on it at night actually have really worked for me. I used to end up with rashes if I used benzoyl peroxide all over my skin (why I couldn't handle Proactiv...) but it works wonders for spot treatment!

When I feel (or see) a pimple coming on, I roll on some Burt's Bees Blemish Stick and then dab a little mud mask over the top and leave it over night. The tough ones take two nights, but they are usually cleared up without ever progressing to the gross and obvious stages!

I typically use Pure Simplicity's Neem mask. It's good for sucking all the bad gunk out of your face. It's also good for minimizing huge pores and especially good for those with oily skin. Since I have combo skin, I just put it on the bump and it's gone within a day or so. I've used it for at least 2-3 years and I love it. I do have to say that it does have a weird smell to it. And it does heat up a bit also.

After a good gentle wash and rub I let my face air dry and then use a tea tree soothing gel for the really dry spots once I'm done. It was the answer to my 10 year bout with all the time acne and now it helps between cycles too.

A treatment device like the Zeno, Thermaclear, or Pretika's DermaHeat (that I recommend because it works great, is around $50 and you don't have to buy replacement carthridges), all work really well, and yes I have them all. It works the best if you can catch the pimple before it breaks through the skin. If you can get it then, more often than not, it will be gone by the next day. I've also noticed that using a cleanser for acne makes my skin worse. I use a gentle cleanser twice a day, and use pure witch hazel as a toner (you can add a little lavender oil if you like). As for a moisturizer, if you have oily, acne prone skin, hazelnut oil is a GREAT moisturizer. It's an oil, but it is astringent, and it will balance out your skin's oil production. Just be sure to still use sun protection. My skin has cleared considerably after using this method.

Think of all the grit and grim from your hair or from drool or just the day itself and it builds on the pillows. Washing them once a week eliminates that and helps decrease breakouts. It helped me.

Wait until it dries and rinse off. Use once a week for spot-free skin. Just make sure you moisturize after you use it, especialy if you have dry skin.

An overnight cure for zits that I have become attached to is toothpaste. Just dab a little on the blemish right before you go to bed and in the morning the blemish will have shrunk dramatically. But make sure the toothpaste you use doesn't have the tartar protection or anything fancy. You just want the regular light blue toothpaste. Also, take some Ibuprofen to help the swelling go down as well as the redness. IT WORKS, trust me!

But first, I usually wet a wash cloth with warm water and hold it over my face - especially any area with a pimple - this opens the pores and then I apply the tea tree oil. It works great to dry up the pimple. It also helps to make sure you remove all your makeup before bed. Be kind to your face and keep it clean of makeup when you can. =)

My tip for removing pimples is using toothpaste. Dab white toothpaste, not the gel kind, and let it sit on your face overnight.

i use a dab of plain white tooth paste on the blemish to dry it out. leave it there while you do your hair or eat breakfast or somehting. if its a really bad one you can even do it iver night. it dries out the pimple. then take a wet rag and micrwave it for about 30 seconds to get it really hot. hold over face for a couple of minutes then wash as usual. after you wash you face with hot water you should always rinse with cold water to close the pores.

I have a great blemish treatment that I have found works with my combination skin. Its very easy and you make it at home; most of us have these ingredients at home and if you dont, its very inexpensive. Tomato Blemish Remedy 1 tomato, ripe, chopped 1 tsp. lemon juice 1 T instant style oatmeal or old fashioned rolled oats Blend all ingredients until just combined, in a paste. Apply to blemished skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay in place. Leave in place 10 minutes. Remove with damp washcloth, and rinse and tone. Good luck! Cris B.

In the past, I have seen Dermatologists for my adult acne. Some medications worked some didnt but more and more I'm leaning toward all -natural treatments since these are safer, sometimes more cost effective and work really well. My two favorite all-natural treatments are Apple Cider Vinegar diluted with water, which i used as a toner. Even though the smell is powerful and takes some getting used to, it has definitely benefited me. It works really well for over all tone, gives a healthy glow, and because of the anti-oxidants in it, it fights bacteria causing breakouts. As an added plus, this is also a lightening agent, so its good to use on liver spots or melasma to help them fade. Cant go wrong with all those benefits. I mix 1 part organic apple cider vinegar with 1 part distilled water and used that as my toner. Been using it for four months now and i can see a big healthy difference!

So if you must get rid of that nasty whitehead or blackhead (sorry it is gross), you are then left with a red sploch! What to do, well you know the product that claims "it gets the red out?" Yes that is true Visine also works on red areas left on the face after you have picked that blemish. Try it!

Dip your eyeshadow brush in a little bit of water and then dip your brush into your favorite shadow and apply. The color will last all day, it will give the shadow a cremey feel and the color will pop.

I think the best thing to do in most cases is leave it alone. I have found that the more I try to cover it the more obvious it is. Once you mess with it, it will make the skin around it more inflammed and bruised or if you try to cover it, the area gets caked with makeup.

My uninvited guests always appear when I'm around my super-critical stepmother, a new boyfriend, or a catty girlfriend. So in addition to proper maintenance and mainlining on my Zeno, I've found a few emergency treatments that will do the trick: 1. If I'm going to bed alone, I dab on a spot of toothpaste before hitting the hay. 2. Cortizone cream always works, but it thins the skin over time and is an absolute last resort! 3. If I have to look good while fighting an inflamed zit, I dab a bit of perfume on it. Yes, it hurts like hell but the alcohol dries up the crud quickly and the fab smell is the only evidence. 4. A used peppermint tea bag placed over the spot will dry it up, but a paste of baking soda and tea tree oil dries it up faster! 5. To keep my skin looking good I purchased a couple of thrift-store lamps and two infrared bulbs, one red and one blue. The red helps with inflammatory issues and the blue encourages collagen growth (or so the spa says, but they charge a lot more)! 6. I heard that most people have at least some degree of allergic reaction to dairy and wheat products, so I adopted a vegan, gluten- free diet. Not only is my skin clearer, but I no longer struggle with my weight, don't have to worry about BSE/trichinosis/mercury etc., and feel great about not contributing to the food shortage or global warming! :-)

What do I do to get rid of nasty pimples/ acne? I tried this last night and it worked! warm water up for about 1:11 seconds. Depending on the power of your microwave, time varies. MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU DO THIS THE WATER IS NOT TO HOT! Then using a cotton swab, dip it in the water. Quickly, so that not very much heat leaves the cotton swab touch it to the pimple/ acne. Do this a few more times and your acne swelling will probably go down. You may want to do this a couple days in a row to get rid of it. I also use Proactiv, which helps a lot too!

Aspirin Mask!!! Take 3 uncoated aspirin and put 3-4 drops of water on them in your hand. They will fall apart when pressed on. Then add about a tablespoon of honey to the aspirin and mix together. Rub this on your face for 2-3 minutes (it is also a scrub - so gently). Leave this mask on your face for 5 minutes then rinse off. I do this before bed once or twice a week and follow with a moisturizer that is noncomedogenic.

For me, I buy this $5 jar of alpha hydroxy cream and put it on under my moisturizer. It tingles and stings a bit after putting it on, but the results are awesome! My skin is more evenly toned and it really seems to dry up those pimples a lot quicker and they disappear within a few days. That and 2X weekly mud mask treatments combined with a gentle exfoliator before or after. Queen Helene's Mint Julep works for me!

One trick I like to do when I get that little monster pop up on my face is first pop it with one of those metal blackhead removers (even though it says "blackhead remover", it removes all kinds of pimples) then clean it out with a exfoliating scrub (any that works best for your skin type) and lastly cover up the crime scene with one of e.l.f.'s concealers. My favorite product to buy from here!! Believe me, the concealer here works just like those expensive brands you see in the store only this ones only a buck! :P

Whenever i have a zit coming up or sometimes whn you have tht redness and itch to touch it..picking on them is really bad ! here is wht works best for me..i use a little sandalwood powder, mix with few drops of rosewater and a drop of honey and put it on the zit ! sandal wood is coolent, honey is good for skin and rosewater is used for cleansing the skin. if this mixture is applied for 2-3 nights without picking on the pimple it helps to reduce the size and helps vanish it off from the face. this mixture can also be applied as a Home made Facepack mask! apply for 15 mins and then wash ur face with warm water and apply mosituriser. Traditionally in india turmeric mixed with few drops of water is also used as an antibiotic for superficial wounds, zits and small cuts on skin ! Also applying tooth paste helps to reduce the size of the zit when applied before bedtime ! lastly if the zit is too stubborn i apply some bactrim or neosporin on the pimple and let it go byitself slowly..wash your face in the morning and ALWAYS before bedtime n apply a good moisturizer without fail which is atleast having SPF more than 15 ! Try to avoid heavy thick makeup during the daytime and definitely NO makeup before bedtime..WASH WASH ur face and maintain a good skin regime and try not to clog your skin pores too much ! these are my tips...Hope it helps some of you too !

I've been using it for about 4 months now and there was a complete change in my face! My face looks like I've always had clear skin!

I have found that in the past all the harsh treatments are hard on the face and tend to dry out the skin. What I have found that helps - use a facial scrub to cleanse (however, use a bath cloth or cotton to clean with), rinse with luke warm water and then apply a warm bath cloth on the area for a few minutes, finish off with a dab of regular Crest toothpaste and wash it off in the morning. This takes the redness out as well as shrink or get rid of the pimple. Candice Thomas Greensboro, NC

Whenever I have one of these moments I like to use astringent to dry them out & keep my skin fresh & clean. This might sound a bit strange but believe it or not one of my secrets is to use Vicks Vapor Rub on the blemish to reduce inflamation & clear it out faster. In a day or two the pimple is reduced or gone.

I can't say I have ever tried that. I think I might now. I use proactiv currently and so far it has done the trick. But I notice during the summer when i get a tan I am less likely to wear make up at all and that does help. SO I would suggest to try to bronze up and go easy on the all over make up do some thing more dramatic with the eyes.

Best for quick fix is toothpaste. Dab will do it. Then wash off after 5 min or so. Then clean entire face with "witch hazel" with cotton ball. Do daily and your break outs will be alot less!

Wear lipstick all day?...I know I do and my lips are quite tired by end of day. While nursing my daughter I used lanolin for sore, chapped or broken skin...and sometimes rubbed it on my lips--guess what a life saver! It can save chapped lips in minutes, I put it on every night and use it religiously! You can find it in the nursing aisle of the baby section or pharmacy. You'll never have chapped or cracked lips again. It even works on dry skin patches. I tube will last you over a year--a little goes a long way!

Whenever I feel like I have a pimple starting I wrap an ice cube in a paper towel and put it where the redness is for about 10-15 minutes and I make sure that I do something to destress that day like take a bath (the steam from the hot water is really good for making sure pores get extra clean when you wash!)

I know this is crazy and you have probably heard it before, but it works- the toothpaste trick ( and I mean paster not gel). It really works, esp. the monsters with big white painful heads. Put a glob of paste on the monster zit before you go to bed and in the morning when you wash off the crusty residue the pimple should basically be gone- it works for me!!

I have been trying to make myself aware of when I start to touch my face and pull away and I have already noticed the difference. I KID U NOT. Monday I woke up with one of these painful under the skin pimples. I get them about 4x a year and they take about 2 weeks to vanish. There is this thing called a "zeno" 200 bucks to heat a pimple 119 degrees for about 2 min to kill the bacteria that formed the zit.The zit goes in 24hr ssooooo.... I got about 8 demitasse spoons(small spoons)from my silverware drawer, then I heated 1/2 cup of water in my microwave for about 2min45secs. I put the spoons in a coffee mug, poured the hot water in and let the spoons get hot(metal spoons)I took out a spoon wiped it dry and quickly placed it on the zit,as the spoon cooled,i grabbed another from the cup and place the cool spoon back in the water to warm up i did this for 3 min b4 dinner the zit shrank and stopped hurting,3 min againb4 bed in the morning the monster wasnt visible and i had to feel around for it by Tue. midday NOTHING!! NO BUMP NO PAIN NO SCAR! I was gonna buy a zeno I was so upset about this zit. Save the money buy using"spoono" and bought a CHI instead LOL

I have oily skin so I use rubbing alcohol w/ a facial pad each night to clean up the oil and dirt that builds up during the day. If it irritates your skin, you can try dilluting it w/ water. It helps kills bacteria too and dries up the nasty oils that clog up pores. I then replenish with a lotion. like Aveeno, so my skin doesn't dry out. I agree about destressing too. It releases a lot of nasty hormones that causes pimples.

I have REALLY bad skin all over - according to one famous product - it's because my dead skin sloughs off and becomes trapped in the oil in my pores. My most powerful pimple fighter is to not drink soda (for some it's a myth for me, reality) and I take a hot shower at least once a day - I use a scrubby mitt to loosen the dead skin and follow with a rinse off of powerful spray. I only use mineral make-up now (e.l.f.'s is great, the brushes are not the best though - buy some at your drug store) so my skin looks flawless, even when it isn't!

I have used toothpaste for years on pimples. Especially for ones that are just starting to pop through put a little on at night and wake up the next morning with it smaller and almost gone before it can even show. Don't leave it on for too many hours, some tooth pastes can burn the skin and leave you with red patches. Just make sure to clean your face first and before you go to bed apply a paste!

Whenever I see a big pimple about to explode on my face, I take a long shower, clean my face with DOVE face soap and when am done I use a little instrument to pop my pimple. is a simple metal stick with hooks on each side, you can find them at any drugstore next to the tweezers. Afterwards its a little red so I apply a salystic acid ointment and the next day the redness is GONE!

a tea-tree based natural toothpaste works amazingly well - I have never had one last when I use this. I also found that cotton pillow cases seem to help - they seem to absorb some of the oils on my face when it presses against them. However, you have to wash them a lot to keep this helping - I find that using those new rubber dryer balls rather than dryer sheets or fabric softner helps too - having residue from the sheets or softner on my pillow case seems to make my skin worse

Thanks Achelle, that is a great tip! I will definetley use that one! I am sure many of you already know, but honey is also a great tool to use when you get a nasty pimple. Because honey is extremely nourishing for the skin it helps in rejuvenating the skin leading to the elimination of fine wrinkles. Honey also has considerable Laxative effect on the human digestion system which in turn helps in reducing skin problems, like pimples! Yay for honey!

People may not believe it, but water really is the key to getting rid of pimples. Whenever I get pimples, I clean my face with Neutrogena face wash and then apply an astringent and a mild topical cream. Those applications help to reduce the swelling and get rid of the redness. The water helps to cleanse your body and replenish the moisture in your face. 1-2 days and the pimple is pimped!

I am also a fan of toothpaste.I only use the paste type on my face because the gel doesn't dry very well. I have used that remedy for years. I have a 19 year old son who also uses it when he gets a pimple. It works great!!! The way we use it is to dab it on at bedtime, but be sure to let it dry before you go to bed or cover it with a small bandaid. Wet toothpaste on colored sheets can take some of the color out of your sheets, so be careful...

I was lucky and escaped the "pizza face" stage that most adolescents go through, but as I entered my 20's and 30's I would get an occasional "blind pimple". I noticed after a while that there were warning signs before it actually bloomed. My skin would tingle a little, sometimes itch just before it broke out. I found that if I applied an ice cube to the tingly itchy spot, it would actually stop it from forming. It also works if the bump is just starting. For some reason it stops it in its tracks.

I forgot to add, my daughter suffered terribly with pimples. We tried cutting out fats, chocolate etc.. didn't work. What did work was either one of the following, or perhaps it was a combination of the following. She got into a veggie kick.. stopped eating anything with white flour or refined white sugar etc.. no white bread, pasta, cake, cookies.. She ate only whole grain bread, pasta, etc. and if she wanted something sweet, she used honey or brown sugar. She also used only Safeguard soap on her face 3 times daily, used clean pillowcases every night, and before she went to bed she would tie her hair back, and also scrub her hands and nails with safeguard and a nail brush. She would also dab a tiny bit of honey on each zit. Honey has a natural antibiotic quality. At any rate, within a week or so, her breakouts came less often, and much less severe. After about 2 months of following this routine, she no longer had breakouts, only an occasional zit. To this day, she still uses a clean pillowcase every night, and still dabs honey and ice on her occasional zit.

My daughter had SEVERE acne and we tried every product on the market, including proactive and stuff prescribed by the doctor. Finally, after talking to a lady on a hotline from one of the places I bought an acne product from, she said "has you daughter ever tried just plain DOVE bar soap?" and I told her no. So we went that day, bought some and my daughter has never had a problem with acne since and that was a couple of years ago!

Dip a Q-Tip in Hydrogen Peroxide, dab it on the spot. Let it dry then apply small amount of Crest toothpaste (plain paste type, not the one with mouthwash). Go to sleep and let it stay on the spot overnight. When you wake up, gently wash away toothpaste with warm soap and water, pat dry and the zit will magically vanish.

I've had horrible skin since I hit puberty and what works best has to be consistency. Consistently washing my face at least two times a day and when I do, I wash twice. Each time with warm water to open my pores and get the cleanser deep into my skin and a final rinse with cold water to close the pores back up and keep my skin from getting too oily. Having oily, acne and blemish prone skin is not fun at all, but being consistent in a face cleansing regimen certainly helps. The Clean and Clear Acne Advance System works the best for me. Natural products, unfortunately, don't seem to do me much good because my scarring is so deep and dark, but Clean and Clear along with a consistent regiment...Rock my Socks!

You would think that by the time highschool was over, and you have reached adulthood, acne would be the last thing to struggle with. I am 23 years old and have developed what they call "adult acne." I have found that the best treatment is usually natural products. I haven't tried the tea tree blemish stick, but I do use tee tree soap that works very well. It can dry out your skin so using a light moisturizer after is the perfect combo for combination skin. I will be trying the Tee Tree Blemish Touch Stick as well.

The most awful thing to do if you get a pimple on your face is to try to pick with it. The best thing to do is wash your face and keep your hands clean. I always apply a mask from any drug store and the mask takes away the pimples within a couple of days.

I haven't had much luck with the home remedies, but drinking water seems to help a little. If you have a very hard time getting rid of them differin which is a prescription seems to work kind of well (it is not over the counter though). Be careful of you use this it may make your skin dry so use a cleanser that does not have salictic acid in it.

I have very dry skin, and tend to only break out on my chin. I'll use a softer cleanser for my face, but if I have breakouts or am near that time of the month when I usually get breakouts, I'll use an Olay Clear Skin cleanser that has salicylic acid in it only on that area (chin) if I'm experiencing a break out. that usually helps dry the area up without affecting the rest of my face. I'll also use neosporin or other pimple really helps!

What helps me is rubbing a strawberry all over my T-Zone (or whole face). I bite the top off and press/rub all over. Sounds funny but it does work, it has natural fruit salicylic acid and de-swelling properties. I leave it on like a mask for about 10 minutes or so, doing whatever I'm doing. After I wash off, face feels so good and clean. A combination of a salicylic wash (I use neutrogena power scrub with MicroClear technology) then this mask. Each day, my pimples get better and better. I almost have no flare-ups before my period either if you keep this up.

I started using those pre-moistened wipes to take my makeup off and my pimples have dramatically improved. I have used multiple brands and they all seem fine.

I use toothpaste too. Just leave it on at night, and the pimples will leave you alone. I also think it's important not to wash your face or use pore strips too often. Then, your skin gets dried out and it produces more oil to make up for it. therefore, you totally get more zits.

Some one once told me that by cleansing your pours once every three weeks and then putting a diluted honey and oatmeal mixture on the infected areas that the acne will be more likely to dissipate, and more likely not to return. I believe that you could use a nice banana mask that would do the same thing.

I guess I'm superhuman . . . Although, it could just be my regimen. I've heard that exfoliating once or twice weekly does wonders, and I use an exfoliating deep cleanser. Afterwards I splash my face with cold water, which closes up my pores and also gives my face a pretty glow. Follow it up with a light, brightening moisturizer (which helps skin remain looking youthful) and voila! Skin care complete!

I have many tricks to helping break-outs but one is most important. Less is more! I find that if you use to much acne wash or creme your pores get clogged and your acne just doesn't get better. But if you just use a little, your skin soaks it all up and the pores get cleansed more easily!

I like to use Los zit zapper. It actually really works. But I use drug store facial washes as well. I've learned that steaming your face and scrubind a loofa over your face should release the pimples as well
