BACK
Baby's got back

Friday, August 22, 2008

Having clear skin is the foundation to all things beauty. But we focus so much on our faces that we sometimes forget to pay special attention to other parts that can get blemishes too! Especially in the summertime, the back can become the culprit on the skin front. (The sweat from walking around in 100 degree weather just might have something to do with it!) No one wants to have bacne (back acne) when they’re going out to the pool or in a sexy backless dress. So wash up with Clinique’s soap for face and body or Neutrogena’s Acne Body Wash that is made to clear up your pores (like a cleanser for your whole body!). Again, nothing is more beautiful than flawless skin!  How do you keep you skin flawless?

To keep my skin flawless i use clean and clear. It seriously works. and rub ice on your face after you tone. It helps to seal pores so dirt can not go into them. Also an egg mask =) Tightens pores, and can reduce wrinkles. im only 14, but it helps to know what works when your young =)

I keep my skin flawless by visiting a dermatologist. He knows what's best for my skin and ever since, I get very few breakouts. But I'll admit that there's not a whole lot you can do for bacne other than trying to keep the sweat off of you as much as possible.

I keep my skin bacne free by making sure to change the sheets on the bed a little more frequently in summer, use unscented fabric softner (so your skin doesn't potentially have a reaction to the dyes and scents usually found in liquid fabric softeners) and change shirts and dry up as soon as you are done exercising so as not to let sweat get into the pores on your back.

I use an exfoliating hemp body loofah from the body shop everyday. It helps remove all the dead skin cells and the dirt accumulated from the day, so that the dirt does not get trapped in my pores and become 'bacne'!

To keep my skin clear I use Mario Badescu products. You can take a survey and they come up with a complete skincare regiment for you and will send you really nice sample sizes of everything! For my body, I use Clinique's soap and it keeps my skin really clear! I used to break out on my back and a little on my chest, but since I started using that it's completely gone!

for those of us with really long hair, especially : be sure to rinse your back (or, preferably, wash it) after using conditioner! all the synthetics and silicones and butters in conditioner that make it unnaturally shiny are also prone to causing breakouts.

It is so hard to scrub your back in the shower. I use one of those loofah scrubbers with handles. This may be one solution, but the best way to be sure to get all the hard to reach places is to have your significant other scrub it for you!

I used to have terrible adult acne over my face. I had blackheads, whiteheads, pustules, the works. My acne was even painful at times. I tried Obagi, Melaleuca products, Proactive and even saw a dermatologist and had blood tests. Nothing seemed to help. Then I read about French Green Clay and incorporated that into my cleansing routine as a weekly mask. Within no time my face cleared up and my skin looks nothing like it did before.

I'm prone to what I call "bacne" (back acne), too. I find that exfoliating and thorough cleansing helps a bit. I use a back brush to gently scrub my back. I don't have oily skin, so I use the same moisturizing cleanser I use on the rest of my body, but you might consider a soap formulated to treat acne.

There is this great product called "Natures Cure", it's inexpensive and really works, For your face they have a daily all-natural pill & an overnight cream, and they even have a spray for your back and and any other parts of your body you may have a problem woth. I also always make sure to use a loofah on my body to get my skin really clean and slough of all that dead skin, and use a scrub a couple times a week to do the same thing for my face.

I think the key to flawless skin to moisturize! I suggest moisterizing right when you get out of the shower, when your skin is still a little wet, this will give you a nice and healthy glow and the ultimate moisture for your skin. I also suggest to loofa with elf's bath set from their bath and body set. This will give extra healthy glowing skin and it will get rid of dead skin cells which carry bacteria. Good luck!

Just like the face, when you over-wash your body or wash with harsh detergents it will dry out your skin which will first make you look like an alligator and then can possibly turn into a boy breakout. My solution is to wash with a mild soap like Dr. Bronners and keep my skin hydrated with natural lotions like Alba Organics. Doing this keeps my skin glowing, soft, and acne free.

I would say to use a loofah and moisturize every day! This will wash your dead skins away that carry dirt and oils which later on becomes acne!

I use a sugar scrub from Trader Joe's. It's not harsh like a salt scrub and it keeps my chest and back from any type of blemishes. It's also grapefruit scented and in the shower in smells heavenly. I also use it on my feet to keep them soft.

I think the key is to deifnitely exfolitae, this will wash away dead skin cells which will let yourp ores breathe. Your pores need to breathe. I also suggest after you wash your face at night, DON'T moisterize. Let your pores breathe while your sleeping. Your pores need to breathe and you don't want to clog your pores that way. However it is important to keep moisterized, so in the morning is the perfect time right before you put on your makeup!

I began using Oil of Olay for sensitive skin face wash to help my skin become smoother and clearer at the same time. It works marvelous! Then I started using their Oil of Olay Age Defining Wash. That worked even better! In the morning when I wake up and wash my face I would use Oil of Olay Moisturizing Renewal Lotion before I apply my makeup for a smoother look and also to hydrate my skin. Also I would use the lotion at night after I washed my face to remoisturize my skin for the night. I trust my skin to Oil of Olay.

I was plagued with hormonal acne on my chin and neck through my teen years and even into my 20's and 30's. I used countless products to try to clear my skin which didn't work. What works wonders for me is taking Ortho tri-cyclen (Yaz is great too). Also, think GENTLE cleansers such as Cetaphil (not too harsh) and I especially love Olay foaming cleanser for sensitive skin. I use an Olay gentle exfoliant cleanser 2-3 times a week as well. My skin is acne free thanks to this combination of methods. I am not saying that taking oral contraceptions is an ideal way to treat acne, however it can be harmful to take other acne medications which can have dangerous side affects. I never have acne problems anymore.

I put noxema on my face before getting in the shower and leave it on the whole time I shower. Just before getting out, i rinse it off. The steam from the shower seems to open my pores more to let the dirt and oil out. Apply an oil free moisturizer and you've got smooth skin.

I hear the best thing to prevent bacne is to remove sweaty clothing and shower after you work out. Also it's best to wash your face before and after you work out. Better to use a gentle cleanser that doesn't remove the good oils/moisture from your face. (therefore preventing over-washing)

I keep my skin flawless by making sure to cleanse the back thoroughly. Often people don't fully wash their back because they can't see it so it is overlooked. During the summertime when it is really hot, I don't use lotion on my back because of all the sweat, it tends to collect more oil and cause breakouts. So I keep the lotion to the legs and arms.

Aside from fresh air, sleep and eating right which can be the hardest obstacle to get right, add only what is needed to look your best (less is almost always more and a whole lot less expensive). At night take off makeup with light-weight products that work quickly and rinse with water, and tissue any remaining residue. Natural products with fewer ingredients seem to be best. I also think that oil free stuff is easier on even sensitive skin (doesn't enlarge pores or weigh down skin if you protect your skin from the sun and sleep enough and eat right). It is always best to limit sun exposure but always wear sunscreen. I think it is also best to stick with colors close to your natural colors, and don't buy anything until the sample size has worked for a week or more. Certain products work w/ certain chemistries, so don't always search for things that work specifically for your skin type. Supplements (such as oils) in pill form can be great for skin, hair and nails too. It is also important to take the time to see a dermatologist for real problems - don't tackle them at the beauty counter. For hair, stick with highlights and lowlights to offset any negatives (alternate these is best) - root lines that grow in after a full head coloring look tacky and can be stressful to keep up with.

The key to young looking skin is spf, spf, spf!!! Regardless of whether you're going from office to car or out to the beach, spf and shade is the key to keeping skin smooth and young. The sun's rays are strong and harmful and can attack even minimal exposure leading to wrinkles and "leather" looking skin. For a nice bronzing look, use a spray tan or bronzing moisturizer.

An ice pack in the affected area helps in several ways. It is relaxing first off, it takes the swelling and the redness down, and it soothes the skin before applying benzoyl peroxide 2%. It helps the skin absorb the cream better.

I use St. Iveís apricot scrub it has these tiny beads inside that help you exfoliate your skin, but don't do it too much because exfoliating more then necessary can do more bad than good for your face. Also try the neutrogena wave, it helps remove oils and make up, and with the vibrating mode it opens your pores. It really does make your skin feel incredibly soft after using it!!! Ps:You're never too young to start using Oil of Olay to help keep your skin soft, young and beautiful!

It really cleared up my face and any scars I had dissappeared, too! I used to have back acne and since I've used that stuff (I stopped it almost a year ago), I've been clear of 'em! It's a risky drug though so it's good to read up on it and it's possible side effects first!!! Nothing really worked as well as that!

I wash my face with Aveeno Skin Brightning Daily Scrub. My doctor told me that gritty facial scrubs like the Apricot Scrub I was using can irritate skin and cause microsopic cuts that actually were opening up my skin to bacteria causing me to get cysts. She compared loofahs and harsh exfoliants to sandpaper. She told me gentle exfoliants with microbeads are recommended and work just a well.

Drinking lots of water helps in any season, and in summer I find my skin especially oily, so using a silicone anti-shine product really helps keep my mineral powders in place. I cleanse twice a day, at least, and on off days, leave all makeup off, just to give my skin a little down time. Pore minimizing masks help my face, chest and back stay clear, toned and tightened.

I'm 22 and I've tried every face wash/scrub/toner etc on the market! I've never had "horrible" skin but the pores on my nose have always been my trouble point. Recently, I saw my 31 year old cousin (who's had perfect skin for as long as I can remember) using plain, simple, every day Ivory on her face. I started using it and four weeks later my skin looks better than it has in years! I trashed all of my fancy 'acne problem' face care and bought a pack of ivory. It does dry your skin our a bit but that's because it's getting in there and doing its job! Just use a good facial moisturizer (i use Olay total effects) afterward and your skin will feel great! Mine does!

Exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate. Moisturize moisturize moisturize. Stick to your 3 step cleaning routine, no matter how lazy you feel. I think Clinique has the best skincare. So fresh! Also, lose the habit of touching/picking on your face. Fingers are germy. Picking on a zit will only make it worse.. scars are not pretty. Don't think you can always get away with concealers and makeups because you want to look flawless sans any makeup too - something your man would appreciate. I know my man likes that while he can appreciate me getting dolled up with makeups, he doesn't have to wait for me to get ready for just a quick walk outside. Plus, sometime you must be ready to just get up and go without any makeup on.. especially mom with kids. Lastly, eat well.. more fruits and veggies.. and stay really hydrated.

To keep my skin from breaking out and to help soak up sweat, I put on a light dusting of baby powder if it's very humid out. The baby powder also smells good and makes your skin feel smooth.

The best way I know to keep skin looking perfect is to make sure you wash at night with a cleanser that's good for your skin type; clean off make-up at night!; and also I think the biggie is your DIET. Your diet has so much to do with your skin.

As a soldier, all i do is work out. and i started to notice while in high school when i had gym then track practice my skin was always breaking out. but after enlisting and going through bct and being in my unit. that the following helped me; taking showers more often, changing sweaty clothing. face wash designed to treat ur type of skin and acne. WATCHING WHAT YOU EAT! if you eat junk all the time. your body WILL show that you eat junk. like; soda, fast food, candy, fatty deep fried greasy foods will make your skin break out. trust me i ate all of that. now that i have stopped i havent had a break out in months! and dont wear make up to bed. that will cause you to break out majorly. hope it helps.

Washing up with Neutrogena's Acne Body wash is defintely a good idea. It helped me a lot. I used to have tons of bacne and it was shameful wearing a tank top or a backless dress. After using Neutrogena's Acne body wash and sponge I saw a difference in two weeks. After a couple of weeks with neutrogena's body wash I moved on to other body washes that focused more on promoting smoothness. After trying a bunch of different products I've noticed my skin is getting better everyday. So I recommend that you use body washes that fit your skin issues. Right now Im using Dove Supreme Cream Oil body wash and its FABULOUS!!! Not only does it smell good but it really does keep my skin soft and smooth...I dont need to put lotion on. I definitely recommend it...After a few weeks I will probably move on to Olay's body ribbon body wash....Tip: Change your body wash after you finish the product if you are prone to bacne because it keeps your skin from getting used to a treatment that will eventually stop working for you. Your skin will continue to get better.

I live in the Bahamas and Back acne is a very common problems amonst natives whether they are white or coloured. I feel like our humid weather has alot to do with it and most of us use strong toilet soaps to cleanse but we forget about exfoliating whick contributes to acne on the body especially on the back. personally if find neutrogena body scrub effective.

Among the most important things to remember with skincare,is an annual examination done by the Dermatologist. While using great products on our skin are essential, we must also remember that a good foundation includes clear, healthy, nourished skin followed by E.l.f. makeup of course!

Since I have dry skin and live the desert, to keep my skin flawless, I wash my skin with a cream cleanser, and moisturize afterward. I also wear sunscreen daily.

I like to take a shower with a Dove soap bar after every workout and when I feel that my body got sweaty due to hot weather . I also take extra vitamin A, complete B complex, C, and E in addition to my multi-vitamin that I take in AM. This year my skin is better than I ever remember having it, face, upper arms, and back is totally clear, soft and velvet like.

Neutrogena is ALL I use. They have a great line of products for the face. As for as for the body, I use Citaphil bar soap and has worked great for me.

I use the body buddy lotion applicator (bodybuddy.com) to apply glycolic to back blemishes, for lotions, self tanner, and sunscreen. It is the only way to reach every inch of skin on my own. Being single is wonderful,,,but it can have its drawbacks sometimes. I think it is also available at dermadoctor.com...not sure. Everyone should check it out. Comes in great colors also.

To keep my back clear and glowing healthy I use a good cleanser on a loofa sponge. It exfoliates and leaves my skin beautiful! For extra beauty on a night out while wearing a backless dress I add some shimmer with ELF's shimmery stuff!!

Drink plenty of water, use a moisturizer with sunblock, watch what you eat, like no greasy foods, not too much protien.

I have tried this wash, but have been unsuccessful. Actually, I went to a dermatologist and was told that acne on your body is very different than that of acne on the face. To eliminate it, I was told that it is under the skin so topical treatments(like for your face) will not work. Exfoliation and gentle scrubs seemed to work the best for me

i always exfoliate once a week and rinse off with warm water. then i pat myself dry to keep some moisture in so that when i put on lotion,my skin will be extra hydrated. i also only use cocoa butter on my skin because its smooth and im african so my family really relies on it:)
