Shimmy Shimmy Shimmer!

Friday, March 27, 2009

I’m all about that shimmery glow that’s all over the high end magazines and on models faces while they strut down the runways.   That ethereal glow really highlights the face and gives you a dewy radiance that’s B-E-A-utiful! Here is an easy 2 step process on how to create that perfect glittery glow at home!
1.     1.  First dust a shimmery color under the brows and blend out to the temples (try our Mineral Eyeshadow in Elegant).
2.       Next sweep a shimmery shade along your cheekbones and blend in evenly (try our Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal). And there you have it, you have created the look!
Remember to keep it basic, you don’t want to over shimmer the face by adding shimmer to eyes, lips and face.  Try it at home today and brighten up your day with a glow!

lol Wouldn't you know that elegant is one of the only colors of mineral eyeshadow that I didn't just buy. I purchased the expert and smokey eye kits in the mineral eyeshadow kit section, but did not purchase the basic browns which have that color included. I guess I will have to write the two products suggested down and add them to my next order. Thanks for another great tip!

I don't mind adding some shimmer. I prefer the dewy look. But, a tinge of shimmer to the cheekbones is no harm done. Applying the appropriate amount can be tricky but that comes with practice. I like using the All Over Colour Sticks for added colour especially Toasted and Pink Lemonade.

I love the soft shimmery look, especially being that spring is here and it is so healthy to have a nice glow. I personally have oily skin so I combat an unwanted shine on my face; because of this I try to stay away from putting too much shimmer on my cheeks or forehead, instead I opt for a more shimmery eye or lip. You can add just a touch of light colored shimmer eyeshadow to the inner tear duct of your eyes to really make them pop. I think wearing a little shimmer on your face is great because it reflects light away, covering minor blemishes without heavy coverage.

Well, I think that the "glow" done the wrong way, can make you look unrealistically "glowy", too fake, too dirty, too sweaty,, NOT cute at all, done only on a couple of parts on the face is nice and so beautiful, but done on lips, cheeks, eyes, nose, and forehead, you look like u need a shower, asap!!!
