I've started using a highlighter on my eyes to give me a more awake-look. I'm using the Studio line eyeliner/shadow in Pearl, which I think gives a more subtle color but works just the same. I use the Pearl liner at the inner corner and lower eyeline, and the pearly shadow to highlight my brow bone.

I always wondered how to use that eye brightener. Now I know!!! And I like that it is universal, that it could be used on any skin tone.

I tried one of the highlighters and it didn't really show up. Aside from trying to line my eyes repeatedly and using up the pencil, what can I do so the liner will be visible?

This is the only product I didn't like. To put enough pressure to get it to work hurts. I use the studio line brow filler/highlighter pencil instead. The highlighter side is soft so it doesn't hurt when you apply it to the water line of your eye.

The white on the dark skin creates more visible of an effect while the white on fair skin kind of brightens up around the eye, if it does not show up that well. Kind of a double-use pencil, so it's versatile.

I always use a highlighter. Even when i don't do a full eye I will at least use a highlighter. Sine I have very mall slanted eyes, it makes them look like I have a larger eye. I like using a pale gold for my highlighter color.

I can not wait to get this product. I am one of those people who are obsessed with my eyes and eye cosmetics such as eye shadows, highlighters, eye liner, etc. Also, I have tried to use high lighters around my eyes before, and it made me look like a ghost. This video shows you how to correctly apply it. Can't wait to buy!

I totally loved this tip myself. I will definetly use it this weekned! Im only 22 years old and I just started to really get into using makeup. My sister had a friend that bought her some of the hypershine gloss for a gift one year, I tried it and fell in love with it. I liked it even more when I found out it was only $1!!!! I went to the website and purchased all the makeup I needed to achieve ever look. Im so happy and thanks E.L.F. for providing women with a inexpensive line of quality product :). D.Sanchez

If you are using a traditional pencil it helps to warm it up a bit before applying. I usually place mine near my curling iron while it heats up or just squeeze it in my palm for a bit. Then the product goes on smoother and a bit heavier too. The eye widener is very subtle but I think it has a lot of impact. I also use ivory eyeshadow with an eyeliner brush.

wow! i didn't know that you could put widener around your tear ducts. I've always done it above my lash line, and it really makes a difference! I love "dressing up" my eyes with eye liner, shadow, and mascara, and whatever else you can use!! Thanks EyesLipsFace!

It was my understanding that putting anything on the waterline could be dangerous. I think it looks great but can't it lead to infection?
