Do you feel better when you look better? I imagine most women would answer “yes” to this question. It seems like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? Why then, do so many women lose their beauty routines when they become mothers? Some women say it’s tough to find the time. Others say they stop caring once a baby comes along. Can you see yourself ever throwing in the beauty towel?
SheSpeaks.com recently ran a piece written by a working mom who won’t walk out the door without concealer and a little mascara. It takes just a few minutes to make an investment in yourself that will pay off all day long (provided you’re using a long-wearing formulation!). I agree with the idea that it’s important to keep making this investment, even when your life’s time bank might be tight.
What do you think? What makeup product gives you the biggest boost in the least amount of time?

I am a stay at home mother of three, and I still cannot live without make up. Even if no one is going to see me but my children... I still have to start my day the way I have every day sence I was in high school, and that is doing my skin care and make up. Thank God for elf or I would not be able to keep it up on budget.

I'm expecting my second child. I think it is very important to do even the simplest things of a beauty routine. The quickest way to help feel radiant is an nice lip gloss or lipstick.

When my now 22 year old daughter was a baby, I started using baby wipes on my face to freshen up. It may not have been the best alternative, but better than no routine at all. My skin had always been fairly decent (thankfully) which really simplified my "bathroom time. I remember that make up time was a luxury, but I never left the house without translucent powder and a coat of black mascara. It did not take much time...and came off easily with my borrowed from the baby wipes. (now there are pre-moistened towlettes easiy available. I probably had access to them back then, but spent very little time in the cosmetic or skin care isle.
