The "B" Word

The B Word...and I'm not talking about...
That word! I woke up this morning feeling pretty good about myself. I've been eating more healthy (if you don't count that Oreo I couldn't resist over the weekend) and getting as close to 8 hours of sleep a night as I can (okay 6). I've even been exercising four times a week.
So, I rolled out of bed today, took a shower and went to slide on my favorite pair of jeans. That's when it hit me... the B Word... I'm talking about BLOATING. It's not just a once a month battle for me. This time, I'm blaming the chicken parmesan I had for dinner last night. Baked, low fat cheese, sauce. No matter how diet friendly, any Italian dish makes me swell and turns my closet in to enemy territory. (What's your  food foe?)
I wanted to slip out of my jeans and into a pair of my husband's XL sweatpants, but I couldn't. I was meeting a friend for coffee. I convinced myself to stay calm. My distended stomach was only a temporary situation, right? I could survive one uncomfortable day. I went in search of a top that would hide my secret. Thank goodness for the baby doll trend. I picked a nice blue, empire waist shirt that stopped at the top of my thighs.  The mirror was my friend again. I put on my makeup and headed out the door. My jeans were feeling a little looser already! Could have been my imagination or the stretch material, but I could swear the B Word was gone.   If only it was gone for good!
I know what I put in my mouth determines at least in part whether  my body inflates like a balloon. If certain foods can cause bloating, can others prevent it? GALTime nutritionist Elisa Zied with the answer. WATCH NOW

Hi! Sorry to contradict you but chicken pasmesan is not a typical italian dish! Hardly a typical italian dish mix different kind of protein, expecially cheese and meat/chicken. The only mix comes with meat based sauces for pasta and grated parmesan cheese (very few anyway). Bloating and bad digestion comes out from the hard work your stomach needs to do to digest the food you eat and if you mix proteins that is a bomb! Another thing you could check is if you are intolerant to cheese or/and tomatoes. These food gives high inotolerance rate and could lead to the B word.
