Sunday, October 18, 2009 I know Minx nail art coverings are all the rage right now, but I personally can't get to the salon every 2-3 weeks. Besides, everyone I know who has gotten them says they really start to peel off after a week or so, especially if you do a lot with your hands and are hard on your nails. At $35-$55 a pop, that really adds up. Since I am so busy, I go for a monthly mani/pedi and then do my own polish changes in between. To me there is something relaxing about painting my own nails. I actually enjoy it. However, when I saw some of the metallic Minx options, I was in love. Now I know metallic polish has been trendy for over a year, but it's back again for Fall '09 which is great news for us late adapters. Keep in mind the metallic nail should not be too long. A shorter nail works best. So I decided to find the perfect metallic nail color...for me. What I discovered was a whole new world of chic and interesting options. Personal favorite and the one I wear all the time is Essie's silver Steel-ing the Scene Others are: Essie's Gold, OPI's Curry Dont Be Late, Lippmann Collection's Marquee Moon, Sephora's Metallic Nail Polish Collection, Revlon's Silver Screen 918, Rescue Beauty Lounge's Look Rich be Cheap.
