I recently redesigned a sweater that I had accidentally shrunk - it's the perfect size for my little sister. Using fabric from a plain black tee, I sewed on cuffs and a bottom hem, sewed on two pom-poms attached to a bow to the neck, and using white thread sewed on a black heart on the upper left side. It looks really neat and will make a great, cheap birthday present that I think she'll love!

I have been planning to make a purse out of a denim skirt. I saw this in a magazine once, but have never gotten around to it. I often have changed skirts into pretty tops.

I follow "P.S.-I made this" on Twitter, and I love seeing all of the creative (and sometimes weird) things people make. I'm trying to be a little more crafty and creative, myself, so I get a lot of great ideas from the site.

We used her jars and puffy paint idea to make fabulous vases for my nephews wedding shower- it made the tables look so fresh and pretty! Easy, too, we just added ribbons and flowers and had nice take home thank you's when the evening was over!

I am absolutely crazy about crafting from everything I can, even grocery plastic bags - they are easily transformed into crocheting thread and make great cases and boxes, especially for bathroom because you can wash and dry them so fast! Well, the greatest project I ever had was probably my wedding dress, from new materials though, but Way cheaper than a ready dress would cost :) and it turned out great! White with golden decorations... Took me a few days (and a few nights :) Right now I am working on the project as well: preparing to press e.l.f. mineral shadows into bottle caps and placing them into a CD case with a beer theme prints :) How is that for a craft project? :)

When I find old tee-shirts of mine that don't fit, but I still want to keep, I sew the bottom together, cut of the sleeves, and cut a bigger circle in the neck area. And then you have a trendy bag!

When I was in high school, I took this sewing class. I took that sewing class so that I could make the clothes that I seen in magazines. I never sewed well enough to make the really really cute stuff, but it was still a great experience. I'm glad that she was more successful than I!

I absolutely loved this site!! I am not an artist by any means, but I love crafts and creating things, especially turning old or seemingly unattractive pieces of clothing into something new and different. This blog is so fun! I especially liked the spray-on "tie-dye" color to the plain white tee, ring necklace, deco headband, wire and electrical tape bracelet, and so many other things. It is great and gives me so many great ideas... Thanks for spreading your creativity :) Keep it up, girl!

I love your creativity!! I believe we all possess incredible talent and gifts, but sometime lack the initiative to get started with our ideas. I appreciate how you've taken the simplest items and turned them into beautiful treasures, to wear in a variety of styles!! What an inspsiration you are to those who are full of magical ideas, but just don't know how to make their creation a reality. I look forward to trying some of these ideas for Christmas gifts this year! Penny
