Problem: Pillow Acne

Wednesday, December 02, 2009

Problem:  Pillow Acne.  Yes it’s true.  If you don’t take off your make-up or cleanse your skin thoroughly before bed, you could experience breakouts.  Solution: Use only cotton fiber sheets.  Cotton fibers help to soak up excess oil and debris that can be left behind by other linen fabrics.  Flip your pillow every other night and spray anti-bacterial spray (for skin) are great to be use opposite the side you are sleeping on (so it has time to work).  This will make a major difference in side-skin clarity.

Using a good cleanser and moisturizer is also important when you wake up to get rid of oil and dirt from your pillow and drool from sleeping! =D

Sometimes its so hard after a long day to make it to the bathroom to cleanse my skin, so in a pinch I have found baby wipes to be a fantastic way to remove makeup, so that cleansing my skin will be a faster process once I get to the bathroom.

what is the best cleanser you are using to spray on your pillows? i have super sensitive skin so i don't want to use something that will be harsh when i lay down my head to sleep..

I knew that if your pillow case was dirty or "unwashed" for quite a while then you can get acne from it.. but I never thought of getting an anti-bacterial spray for it. What spray would be recommended? I have combination skin so it's so much harder to deal with situations like these..
