Trend in Health and Beauty- Prosthetic Skin!

Wednesday, February 03, 2010

Trends in Health and Beauty are going to be radical this year!  Think about Prosthetic Skin Application.  How many people (maybe even yourself) have challenges that are showcased to the world that you would like to hide or minimize.  I sure do (I have major scares as I was a fearless child).  If people can have prosthetic ears, limbs, even eyes, why would skin not be the logical next step.  Envision film formers coating and binding to your skin to create a flawless canvass (against deep wrinkles, acne scaring, pitting ect).  Cover-up with your make-up and take it off when you go to bed.  Talk about innovation.  This could change the way women and men look at themselves and truly feel comfortable in their own skin (projecting the person they want you to see).  I have been working on this concept for two years and almost have it nailed, utilizing a technology that you would NEVER think of synergizing with skincare.  Watch out P&G, L’Oreal and J&J, this is a concept that will take more time to knock off!

I've always thought to myself that this would be the next step in beauty but I never realized it was just around the corner! I'm quite excited to see the material/ingredients used for prostetic skin. Obviously you are creating something much more durable and wearable then theatric makeup. Very impressed!

This idea is kind of ridiculous. People should be proud of who they are, not replacing your flaws with plastic. Geez, what will they think of next?

I dont mind a few flaws, there is usually a story behind them. And to a large extent these imperfections are part of our individuality. That being said everyone, me included wants to look as good as they can! I thank Mr. Borba for the effort and care that he's put into ELF. I love these cosmetics and would like to pass a hint to him about creating a skin care line to go with. Sure I'm not the first to do so. Thanks ELF!
