There has been talk that Miley Cyrus’ 9 year old sister Noah co-launched Ohh! La, La! Couture. This is a kiddie lingerie line that she and her best friend have teamed up to do. Many feel that the Cyrus parents are a bit delusional, but they feel that what their girls are doing is just fine.

Do you think this is a bit extreme or is it okay to let young girls become “independent”?

I understand that this may be a "cute" concept for parents who have girls that are/will be becoming tweens and may possibly want to look like mom or cool but honestly-what is so wrong about a child dressing their age? There are plenty of children clothing lines out there that have very beautiful & age appropriate clothes. I think that this line is ridiculous and sends the message that it is alright for young girls to grow up faster. In addition, the name of the brand: ohh la la couture lingerie-what message do we want to implant in our children's minds? Would you want your child to embrace their sexuality at such a young age?

I think it's okay for letting your children express themselves and feel comfortable to do so, as long as it's tasteful. Don't let your young children dress inappropriate in public, that's just poor parenting. (IMO)

We mothers sit here and worry constantly about what could happen to our little girls, and little boys, when it comes to sexual predators on the internet and in the neighborhood and lurking around the malls. Kids should be allowed to be kids. Growing up too fast is never good. Eventually a point is reached where there is nowhere to go, that point should not be reached by kids or teens.

I think it is important for the parents to decide what is and isn't appropriate for their children. I personally would not allow it but what works for me and my family may not work for another family. I will admit this is a little alarming for me.

The thought of Lingerie for kids is appalling. That is asking for trouble from preditors. I looked at the website. It does not show very much at all, but the few outfits it showed were tanks with a tutu style skirt. It also looked like the mothers started the company and not the girls. The outfits I saw were cute and I might even put them on my girls, but the name of the company is too provacative for young girls to be wearing and if they are making lingerie for kids as well and they just don't show it on the website, then that is not acceptable. I would never put any type of lingerie on my girls. Plain cotten with kids prints is all they get and no young girl needs more than that.

i googled this, and its just not true. the line has been around since 2004. in 2009, the two young girls decided to help create a line for the coulture. I think this is totally unnecessary. We have become people that use clothing brands to describe ourselves. We look down on people that do not wear the same brands and we're putting way too many brands on ourselves. Clothes, looks that's all that seems to be appealing to people now. This is already bad enough from high school and above but now they're starting it from elementary school too? Just so you know, all these brands, all this about looks and everything, is becoming a big impact to the kids in elementary school. They are thinking that they are too fat already and some are cutting meals at that age. Is this like, the world you want your kid to live in? Do you want to have a kid and be afraid of her surroundings and that one day she may be skipping meals and becoming unhealthy behind your back? This all connects in some way. This idea of "kiddie lingerie" is way TOO extreme.

I really hope everyone gets their stories straight. Visit the site. It is not at all a kiddie lingerie site. It little tutus like what you probably wanted to wear around when you were little. Its just expensive dress up wear and their is no need for people to over react or be so terrible as to label it as something it is clearly not to cause problems.

I had serious doubts about these parents when they let Miley pose provocatively in Vanity Fair, and now their 9 year old is designing and selling kiddie lingerie? There is a BIG difference between letting little girls play dress up and BUYING them naughty fashions of their own. I think DSS ought to investigate the Cyrus family. Something is just not right with these parents.
