OMG! I need to find one of these resale stores to sell my bags of clothes which are still so nice and new. Sizes have changed for the better ;-) I'm not sure if we have a Second Time Around and Buffalo Exchange in my city, but I definitely have to check it out now! This is a great idea. Thanks Achelle!

Hi all I currently live in GA and moved from FL. A resell store you might wanna look for is Plato's Closet. You take your gently used name brand clothes resell them or shop. That always gets me... I ALWAYS find something that I dont need but want cuz it is a really good price. Happy shopping... And thanks for the tip on the leggins I will definitely be rocking them because its still a little chilly here in Atlanta.. :)

We have Plato's Closet for the "younger" style things, more geared for teenagers, in juniors sizes. Then right beside it is Clothes Mentor which has women's sizes. I love it. I've sold tons of stuff there and bought even more. They've even got a punch card, each time you spend $10 you get a punch and after 20 punches you get 20% off your whole next purchase. Its great!

I know! This is so amazing. You can really find some awesome deals for gently uses and even sometimes brand new clothes. Also, the upside is getting credit for your trade in's. My area has many stores like this, two in particular come to mind and those are Cleo's Closet and Plato's Closet. Both stores with the same concept!

What's great about these kinds of stores is they usually give you more in-store credit than cash. Makes it easier to buy more clothes!

I've got boxes of clothes I keep meaning to sell but can never get myself around to doing so. That would be the perfect thing for me to do :) I searched for resale/consignment stores in my area and was surprised about how many there are! Now I need to do some homework to see which I'd be most excited about shoping at.

In downtown Toronto, Canada there are many vintage clothing stores. A great area to find these stores are in Kensington Market; Queen West of Spadina Avenue and north to Dundas Street West. This is a very eclectic community with an abundance of fruits and vegetables at amazing prices especially during the summer months and clothing/accessories/music, and used bookstores everywhere.

i couldnt agree more, i do that every season change, and i love buffalo exchange, there is one in my area and im constantly going back for more! people do this because of trends, when a trend is out the item is out! or at least thats how it goes with me haha

I've been to Buffalo Exchange - they have some really good deals on what would otherwise be expensive clothing. I'd love to go there again to save some money or exchange some clothes for credit and/or cash.

I Love buffalo exchange. especially to get a little cash on the side. i've had sold a good amount of clothes that haven't been worn often. but the downfall is that the go by season, but every store is different.

Our local resales stores only cater to junior sizes so they're no good for plus sized ladies like me. I have had good lucky selling things on consignment at a boutique though and I've bought a few cute things there. My favorite thrifty tip is to shop at the Goodwill. I found designer leather boots for about seven bucks!

Savers! I go there around once or twice every month to find some nice steals. Online, I guess Ebay would be a good one; although you never know if it's a copy or an original; so I don't buy from there. But Savers is a great store, I always buy at least a thing everytime I go there!

There are several resale stores popping up in our area of central PA. One is called Plato's Closet and its very popular with the college kids--they can get cash for thier clothes or cheap brand names---I'd like to go to New York and check out one that has more designers.

In Delaware we have a great resale store called Plato's Closet. You can take your clothes in-must be in good condition and in fashion at the time. They will give you cash or store credit. You get a higher amount back if you take the store credit. One of my favorites

I lived in Westood where there is a Buffalo Exchange and have gone to the Buffalo Exchange in Fullerton as well. Having frequented Buffalo Exchange, I have learned that during Winter it's best to bring in your winter clothing and during summer you want to bring in your summer clothing. It works like a business so they want to have clothes that they could actually sell for thrift store shoppers. I also found that they tend to take in higher end brands, clothes in good condition, they don't like basic tanks, and they love taking shoes (boots, heels, etc.) of good condition! It's also a great place to go buy a Halloween costume!
