NYC Free Concerts

I love music, there’s something about being outside with the fresh air and a good musical beat that just defines summer for me.  So I love to check out the free concerts in New York City to catch some of the hottest bands.  I regularly check out The Today Show’s Concert Series outside the Rockefeller Center.  Below is a list of their scheduled Singers.  Note, you may want to show up early for a good standing position (6AM is recommended) and don’t forget your BIG sign to say hi to all your friends watching on TV.

But that’s not the only hot list of Star Studded Bands; The Good Morning America Show also has free concerts at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park on Friday mornings.  Again I suggest showing up early (6AM) to grab a good standing position as it is first come first serve.  Check out their list of performers below.  For more information CLICK HERE

Hi Achelle!! ♥ I am definitely going to go to some of these concerts =) This is just one of the many things that I LOVE about living in NYC!! I am 100% going to be there for the Lady Gaga concert! Other free activities I love during the summer is walking around central park, and going to all the different museums (well, that's almost free - they only ask for a "donation" - so about $1 with a student ID!) Oops! I forgot to mention - GOING TO THE BEACH!! How could I forget that?! haha - definitely going to the beach is one of my favorite free things to do in the summer =)

Sadly, being nowhere near NYC, I won't be able to go to these fantastic concerts :( That's an impressive line-up though! There's usually a free-movie-@-the-park series for the summer, so I'll probably go to those. And of course, as long as you aren't late on returning your books, the library's always free :D

omg this is so helpful! im going to be in nyc this summer for 1 1/2weeks at the end of august and now im definately planning on seeing the jo bros & demi and rihanna! thanks so much for this info! my ultimate free summer activity would b a day at the beach and bbqs w family & friend;P

Wow!! This looks really cool... unfortunately, I don't live anywhere neare NYC, but I would totally go if I could. Some of these concerts are would be really cool, especially if they were free. Hm... this summer is total relaxation for me! I'm looking forward to hanging out at home, going shopping, maybe visiting the beach with my family. I don't want to have a busy summer - just a relaxing and rejuvenating one!

Too bad I don't live near NYC! That would be so nice to go to any one of those concerts! For some favorite summer activities that are free mine would have to be going to the beach, scenic drives on lazy beautiful days and spending fun time outdoors playing with my daughter. :)

As I like to travel, I plan to travel to different places around the world, even though I haven't decided on which places to go just yet, and, as I LOVE to sing, I'll be singing karaoke with my friends ALOT as well!
