June Weddings

Monday, May 17, 2010

I love a good wedding, the fairytale setting of two lovers celebrating together their commitment…I’m secretly hopping for my own one of these days soon!  So like most girls who scribble their hopeful new last names to see what their new signature would look like and dream of wedding gowns and cake, I have discovered a few enchanting websites to help you get some inspiring ideas to create a magical day!  Oncewed.com is a fabulous website full of artful ideas on DIY weddings , wedding ideas, vendors and more!  And if you are looking to help your guests and family stay up to date with all things regarding your wedding, check out weddingjojo.com to create your own free wedding website!  And if you are looking for a perfect gift, try a personalized gift with the couples name, like an engraved photo frame or throw from personalizationmall.com.  And don’t forget you can also gift your bridesmaids a great e.l.f. makeup package for the big day!  What do you think is a great wedding gift?

Great websites! My fiancé and I have just started planning our wedding on a small budget. The DIY wedding information will be very useful. Thanks!

I'm getting married on June 28. We are doing a DIY wedding, however, we have about $200 to spare...so, it's not going to be the most magical of events, but it's going to be great nonetheless. We will be just as married, and just as happy. :)

June Weddings are awesome and it's usually easier for people to get time off work. I think something from a gift registry or gift cards are good presents so the person can pick it out themselves :) Thanks for the entry.

I agree with the previous post. A gift card or item from a gift registry would be best. It saves a lot of time without having to figure out what the couple wants/needs and saves time for them having to return an unwanted item.

I think a great wedding gift is a bunch of thingd that can tie they're house together! Two people may or maynot just start moving in together and I don't know about you but it seems like there's always something missing. I want decorative things in my house so when people ask I cn say "oh, it was a wedding gift from so and so" instead of "Oh I just bought it cuz I like it" I always love when people get me things I end up falling in love with!

I think the perfect wedding gift is money. The newly wed couple would have some money to get started on their new life together. Or if they don't need it, then they could go buy themselves something nice (: if they don't want money, then I think that I'd get them something they could use together. Maybe a free yearly pass for something they both love doing together, or, if the couple were really close friends of mine, than tickets to a concert, or a city. (:

I agree that money is a great gift idea, because there isn't really a way to go wrong with it; however, at the same time it isn't the most creative/individualistic way, which seems to make it lose significance. The best presents are the ones that can be used and applied. Getting decorative products is a waste (most of the time, anyways), since everybody has different taste & preferences. Besides, i'm sure that the bride & groom would prefer to make their own personal decorating selections, not somebody else's that were gotten for them. So look for something useful, whether it's a blender, toaster,coffee/expresso machine or something else, chances are you will hit the spot & both of the newly weds will be more than satisfied! =)Good luck!

I think that the e.l.f. makeup package is a great gift. But definitely add something personal in there too. Maybe pictures from the wedding? Or something creative

The perfect wedding gift would have to be money! It can be used for everything from the Honeymoon to paying the wedding bills when they come in and so much more!!!!

You can always make a really awesome scrapbook of all the pictures you have of the two of them during their courtship. I made one for my bestfriend with a ton of pictures she didn't have before that. That was a personal gift that was a work from my heart.

I think anything that has the couple's last initial or monogram is a great gift. Couples are so excited to share the name that anything that represents it will be a huge hit.

I think that it wouldn't matter as long as the thought that counts and you know that the person was being sincere with their intentions.

If I was getting married, I would love something from the heart. Anything that speaks "love" or something useful. Items for home would be the best bet, I would have to say.

I'm not even close to getting married yet, but I love helping out with family weddings, and loving creativity, oncewed.com seems great; personalizationmall.com is also helpful, but nothing I wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. Obviously, weddingjojo.com won't really help me yet...

I think a great wedding gift is makeup! When someone gets married, their style usually gets a little more conservative and they tend to take less time doing makeup. You could get them like a neutral palette or something with multiple uses.

The couple year of marriage is probably rough financially. Perhaps not rough, but definitely not stable as when two people have been married for 10 years or when two people who get married own a home. However most likely that is not the case which is why I think the best wedding gifts are gift cards to places like Ikea, Best Buy, and other appliance stores where they can be believed of their finances by buying pricey items with gift cards from wedding guests!
