If you were to try ELF'S Mineral Make-up you would not have any oily skin problems. I have oily T-Zones but the Mineral Make-Up permits that from happening.

I normally just apply powder and my eyeshadow and I would get sunburned on my face and I never knew how to prevent it but I do know, Thanks again!

FYI... ELF'S SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer is Great. I use this and a touch of glow. I have this febish about leaving my house without makeup and using these 2 products together with a touch up of the eyes makes me feel like I can face anyone.

I wash my face using Dove soap then I use a light moisturizer. I use mineral makeup during the summers to help minimize facial oiliness! Minimal makeup all around!!

I apply an SPF moisturizer on my face, never leave the house without sunblock over my body, and I go lighter on the makeup- only blush, lipgloss, and bronzer.

Same as Mine ONLY I use an SPF 15 on my Face First. I find the Mineral Products glide over my face leaving it un-matte or cakey looking. Since I have been using ELF Products, I have received numerous compliments on the way my make-up looks. What a change.

Thanks for the great tips! I already use elf's Tinted Moisturizer and really like it. Very natural looking with a nice finish. I also use a liquid gel blush and I finish with elf's mineral powder. Also a little eye shadow/liner pencil and a sparkly tinted lip gloww.

I wear either your tinted moisterizer with spf 15 or i wear a face sunscreen and use your mineral powder for a light coverage eith protection. I also like to use your shimmer shadow in butternut but only the gold one and your luciouse liquid lipstick in browny points and a light dusting of radiance blusher in bronze. Its a great summer look

My favorite summer beauty regimen is to use sunscreen and minimal makeup, either mineral makeup or tinted moisturizer and some mascara!

In the summer, i reccomend using primers underdeath eyeshadows and foundation. I personally love the elf eyelid primer, for just a dollar.

I can't wait to get my order! I ordered the tinted moisturizer and can't wait to try it. I like to put tinted moisturizer all over my eye area before concealer to give more moisture and a hint of brightness (which allows for less concealer).

This sounds like a great idea! i have tried not to used foundation in the summer for a light-weight feeling, but this will definitely help look amazing in the heat.

For the formulation, its amazing. A bit small but it's a great product. I've got oily, acne-prone skin and this product does not make me break out. I love it! And there are various shades that either can be blended to match your skin tone exactly or if there's a shade that matches your skin perfectly, bonus!! Currently, I'm using Rosy Beige because I have a tan and its the exact match. I've stocked up on this shade because I use it pretty much everyday. And there's quite a bit in the tube.

Always wear my SPF creams, no matter if I wear makeup or not I apply a nice light amount of it first. This way if I'm in a hurry to go out i have already put it on first thing that morning and won't get burned by the sun.
If I wear foundation right away.. i make sure it has an SPF in it.
I have also found that some powder foundations now have SPF in them too, this makes it easy to stay protected.
I also keep a nice tiny bottle of SPF in my purse just in case one of my kids have not put any on when we are out or if i need to re-apply.
Moisturizer and SPF would be my way of staying protected and beautiful this summer.

Hi, I wear it over a sunscreen/foundation of spf 15 or 30 because once the powder wears off you still have protection underneath and that's what you want. I hope this answers your question.:)

As a tip, always wear an spf 15 or higher underneath the spf 45 powder because powder does wear off after a while. It's imperative to have the extra protection as well makeup comes off during the day and we sweat so we do need to reapply.

I recently bought e.l.f's tinted moisturizer and liked it a lot. It really gives me a nicer more flawless look than Bare Escentuals or MAC Studio Fix powder plus foundation. I prefer wearing tinted moisturizer than foundation. I like the more natural look and really like how e.l.f.'s tinted moisturizer makes my pores disappear and the same goes with some small deep acne scars I have.

I just use minimal makeup as I tan in the summer so most of my makeup is lighter. If i want a more fuller coverage, I will put some liquid foundation on and then put a little bronzer all over my face so it matches my body. Then a tad bit of blush, some mascara and gloss and I'm good to go! =)

I like to use tinted moisturizer instead of foundation, some loose powder because the heat makes me oily, eyeshadow applied as a eyeliner on the lower lash line, and whatever mascara I feel like that day. Adding a little bit of shimmer via eyeshadow and highlighter is great because summer time means time in the sun. If I'm feeling it, I wear some blush & bronzer as well. =] All of my foundations and tinted moisturizers are at least SPF 15. Keep your faces young, ladies (& gentlemen)!

i always make sure i use moisturizer with spf. sometimes i even mix in regular sun screen in with my moisturizer for protection. In this kind of weather, it's definitely necessary. For a quick summer routine, i just conceal, redefine my brows, add a bit of shimmer to my lids and cheeks and finish off with my favorite lip balm!

is this a new product? I think tinted moisturizers are the best for summer, ones that are light, non smelly and leave a bit of coverage without looking heavy.

This is really helpful, thank you!
I'm new to wearing makeup and I tend to cake it on over the summer because I don't have much variety (hopefully that will change once i get my order in the mail!).
I wish I'd have ordered some of these things, though. I was clueless shopping here, lol I went straight for the eyeshadow and forgot my face!

I discovered ELF by surfing the web and up popped Elf. I have just placed my second order and have found EVERYTHING most satisfactory. I have been paying Dept Store Prices or waiting for Sales at Pharmacy Stores. I have saved a lot shopping here and I look forward to the Special Offers. I have encouraged several of my friends to shop here as well and will continue to refer others. ELF is Wonderful, Easy and Economical. If I have any questions about a product I can do online chat. They always have the Best Answer.

In summer, I always make sure to clean my face ESP after sweating in the hot weather and although it may seem that I may not need it I moisturize like crazy during summer too I also have grown my own aloe plant so that if or (in my case WHEN bc of my very pale complexion) I get a burn I apply asap I try to wear less foundation and cream base products like elf cream eyeshadow duos are amazing and don't melt off they help my powder shadows stay put in the sun the cream liners also stay all day long and look natural elf products may not break the bank but theyve passed the test in my book it was 93 degrees today I worked all day and my makeup (all ELF) still looks amazing

I usually don't wear too much makeup during the summer days. I like to keep it light and neutral with golds and browns. Because it gets extremely hot at times, going light definitely helps prevent your makeup from melting off your face!
