Feeling Blue?

Monday, August 16, 2010

Shades of blue eyeshadow is totally in right now and has been seen on the catwalk and celebrities! Darker skin should focus on blues with gold hues and light skin should go for shades like cobalt, periwinkle and teal.  Supposedly Blue is said to be the color of truth and sincerity, not to mention it is known to be a calming color because of the association to the sky and ocean.  Try this trend as an eyeshadow for a bold look or go with a blue eyeliner for a subtle effect.  Try e.l.f.’s Eyeshadow Duo in Blueberry, or the Brightening Eye Color in Blue Moon, Punk Funk or Teal Dream.  You could also try the Liquid Eyeliner in Midnight or the Shimmer Eyeliner in Twinkle Teal.

i actually have all the duos, all the quads, and all the new shimmer liners! For me, the new eyeliners are the greatest and really make a look pop! Combined with the teal dream quad and you have an amazing blue look that I can't stop using! The new liners are my new favorite though! They're truly a must have!

I've been doing subtle blues on my eyes for a while now. Blues and browns really bring out my blue eyes, so it's good to see they're coming back.

I like blue, but I'm not sure if it looks good on me. The eyeshadow looks very pretty! :)

I love blue. It is great to use the light pale blue for a highliht on the inside of your eye! I love my duo :-)

I've never tried blue make-up except for the navy colored ELF cream eyeliner (because it looked almost black and black was sold out), but I think i may give blue eyeshadow a try. I like the idea of blue with gold hues.

I would love to try some blue eyeshadow i usually try to play it safe with very neutral eyeshadows such as brown and gold but lately ive been experimenting with purples and greens and I have to say I've gotten a lot of compliments. But I think i would need some tutorial on how to incorporate blue and what colors could be mixed with it. I would love elf to come out with tutorial videos on make up with their products that would be awesome.

I love blue eye shadows they make your eyes stand out especially if you have brown or hazel eyes. They make them pop. Teal is also nice. I especially like the Blue Moon eye shadows by elf for a blue smokey eye.

Blue works pretty well with most skin tones. I've found that it work really well with my hazel-y brown eyes as well, both in bright, blue tones like UD's Peace, to darker blues like what's in the cream eyeshadow duo Blueberry. Don't be scared to try something new!

I love blue eyeshadow; its a very calming colour hence reminding me of water and how tranquil it is. I have light to medium skin and blending blue with white or with an off white shade give the eyes a nice subtle yet alluring look that's not too harsh.

Hi, ELF! I'm really feeling the blue love this season. I own the blue moon quad, and I've done some really pretty soft blue colors recently. I really like icy blue on my Asian skintone, and that quad is perfect for me for a wearable blue look.

I love blue! I am so glad that blue eyeshadow is finally back in fashion. These seem subtle enough to not be considered 70's or 80's too bright and over done. Will be ordering some next pay day. Thank you ELF :)

Blue is everyone's favorite color because, well, it looks good on everyone!:) Thanks for offering so many blue products. Maybe some green is in order, though? Green and blue=beautiful together.

I love using birght colored eyeliners all the time. I just put in a order for all of the shimmering eyeliners from elf. I can't wait to try the teal. I also ordered the Quad bluemoon. I'm excited to try that as well. And I guess that its good that its in style but as far as my makeup goes, I try to do what I like.. Not what everyone thinks is in.

ugh i wish i understood makeup more. i'm absolutely lost when it comes to makeup (im a terrible female, haha!). I watched a tutorial online on how to apply eye shadow and she always recommends e.l.f. products. I did order some so let's hope I can figure out how to use them XD I'd love to be able to get some sexy blue smokey eyes!
