Today’s female celebs on the red carpet are more groomed and fashionable than ever? How does that translate to the avg. female – in terms of having to keep up with this image?
SVB – More than ever.  The challenge is that you want to present yourself as casual and genetically perfected, but everyone knows that it’s a lot of work to have a healthy complexion and confident style.  The average woman has a lot more challenges in their life now.  By looking good, you project confidence.  By having that inner and outer radiance, you will interview better, attract more quality relationships and be more impactful when in a sales pitch.  Trust me, the extra time it takes to take care of yourself will in turn translate into life satisfaction.

There has also been an increase in cosmetic procedures for women – can you tell me a little bit about this and why this is?
SVB – The catalyst for procedures come when women feel like they can’t effect change with diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.  The “muffin top” which I like to call the gut area that spills over the belt or top of your pants is one of the most common procedures that males will contemplate first.  By having a svelte midriff, a level of confidence and self worth is regained.  The eye area is also another common area for women to seek relief.  Dark circles, bags, and major lines and wrinkles can be the culprit for women to showcase their age or lifestyle habits.

Images are facades. I think it shows self respect to put forth reasonable effort to look our individual very best. But after we step away from the mirror, I believe that we should leave the mirror behind and focus on BEING the best person that we can possibly be--and that is what brings TRUE success.

the only ugly woman is a lazy woman_everyone can look good if they put a little time into it~~as i get older i have contemplated surgical procedures, i don't think i would do anything radical but perhaps try botox, fillers or smartlipo which are lasers, we can never be to vain with small changes i would consider them, cost can keeps me away~~

I think it is extremely hard for any young girls or even women to stand up to the pressures of the world. Embrace who you are and others will love you for being yourself.

I respect that Scott-Vincent Borba doesn't just believe that the quality of cosmetics come from high-end department stores. Average everyday women are able to find great quality cosmetics like E.L.F and project an image that provides the lifetime satisfaction through an inner confidence that illuminates through one's outer radiance!

I believe everyone should focus more on what's inside versus on the outside. Flaws are beautiful and make us unique and human! I'm totally fine with being PERFECTLY IMPERFECT!

it's sad but true the more you work at looking good the more attention you get (professionally and personally).

so very true... everything is dependent on the outside appearance nowadays. the ones that look better tend to have all the advantages.

It is sad to see how much money actresses have to invest in their looks and the final product by the time they are 50 is that they are completely plastic by then. Everyone should take the time to care for their skin but do it the way our mothers-mothers-mothers did it. Have a night time and morning beauty routine and start in your teen years.
