Favorite Thanksgiving Food

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

I am really looking forward to the upcoming feasting for Thanksgiving!  I love all the traditional foods like stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, etc but my absolute favorite is Wham (meatless Ham)!  LOL, I know it sounds funny, but this difficult to find but delicious treat is a vegetarians dream!  I managed to find it available at www.healthy-eating.com.  I enjoy putting cherry glaze on mine, mmmmm!  What’s your favorite Thanksgiving treat?

My favorite Thanksgiving food, as fattening as it is, has got to be dressing! My grandmother makes theeee best dressing in the world and you can taste the love that she makes it with, I hope to one day be able to do her dressing justice when the recipe gets passed down to me :)

OMG - this is hilarious!! I have to try Wham! I too am a vegetarian and I love my veggies at Thansgiving. I don't try to do a meat substitute or faux product, I just contribute extra veggie side dishes and a huuuge awesome fall salad to the meal (along with some good matching wine!!) and feast off of these. I know a lot of people wouldn't agree, but I don't feel my Thanksgiving meal NEEDS a main dish/focal point. I much prefer to graze off a bounty of plant life that the earth has provided!! :)

I love turkey and pumpkin pie. Anything with pumpkin in it is usually good to me. I especially like my pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top. Also my mother makes really good mashed potatoes with the gravy made from the juices off the turkey it is yummy!

I LOVE Apple Crisp at Thanksgiving!!! Lol ever since I was little, my mom and I would bake delicious apple pies, breads, and cakes from the apples we picked from our backyard :). I have a few Vegetarian friends and they would love hearing about Wham!

this may be weird most people but I grew up with "veggie" meat from Worthington and Morning Star. The best for the holiday is the loaf by Worthington Dinner Roast, instead of Turkey that is what I eat. I LOOOOVEE veggie meat.
