Heidi and Spencer's fake divorce

The tabloid favorite Heidi and Spencer Pratt earlier announced that they where filing for divorce…well surprise surprise that was a publicity stunt to try and land a reality show for the pair to get them some fast cash.  Unfortunately for them that deal fell through and they now are filling bankruptcy. Spencer met with Life & Style to report the following.
“After they found out The Hills would not be renewed earlier this year, Heidi and Spencer concocted a plan to get attention by divorcing shortly after their anniversary. The reality duo tell Life & Style there was interest in a series covering their split from British TV network ITV, so they splashed down cash to move their act to Costa Rica. But that deal fell through and soon after, they called off the divorce proceedings and reunited.
“The divorce was real — just the idea behind it was different than most people’s,” Spencer tells Life & Style. “Divorcing was the only way to keep Heidi’s career going because everyone hated me so much. Look at Sandra Bullock — her divorce from Jesse James was the best thing to happen to her image.”
Now, they worry how they’ll ever get themselves out of the cash crisis. “I can’t make regular money because I was playing such an unlikeable character on TV to keep my checks coming. Who wants to hire the jerk from The Hills?”

For once, I agree with Spencer. No one wants to hire "the jerk from the Hills". This is a solid lesson in why you should think about the way you act. You never know when it will come back to bite you. I also think the divorce publicity stunt is just ridiculous. EVERYTHING they do makes them look desperate and immature.

Wow. Divorce just for the spot light-huh? Marriage is something that should be taken seriously, obviously these two werent ready for it if they're divorcing just to get some attention. Just shows that they werent REALLY in love then. Sad.

I don't like the term "LOSER(S)" but this is that is what comes to my mind each time I see a photo of these two! It's appalling to see the length to which they'll go in their sick quest for fame and pathetic that they can't the fact that they haven't the talent to gain it the proper way. Wow! I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I actually feel sorry for Spencer. Perhaps their best bet would be a tell all book about how badly MTV treated them or ruined their ability to get work. Even better, they could start doing some PSAs for an organization like CommonSense Media warning children and teens not to believe reality shows and to avoid trying to become famous by exploiting their lives.

Wow, they are that desperate for money or that careless about themselves? Marriage used to be taken seriously, not a sham! Divorce is a big deal and very hurtful, that seriously sucks that someone would just use it as a publicity stunt. Not that I had much respect for them anyway, but any that I had is now gone...

It's about time they grow up and make money like everyone else... Work hard and get a real job! It's a shame they didn't learn how to invest the money they had earned but instead decided to flaunt it and spend it on a number of luxuries (i.e. Heidi's plastic surgeries!!!).

It's so sad and depraved. Not that they were the most scrupulous couple to begin with, but how can anyone believe a word that they say. I knew it was too dramatized to be real. Heidi and Spencer's fights through tweets where so fake. This dosen't suprise me, and since everybody found out The Hills were fake it was kind of obvious their marriage is.
