Whats a Stipple Brush?

Friday, January 14, 2011

This new antibacterial, synthetic haired Taklon Stipple Brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. Studio brush!   The layered bristles create a soft airbrushed look that's perfect for applying foundation or adding color definition to cheekbones or highlighting with soft layers. Use this brush with any liquid or powder face product such as foundation, blush or bronzer to build your coverage from sheer to heavy.

Melissa4444 from CA said this about the brush: “YAY I was soooo Happy when elf made this Stipple Brush!!! I love using this brush to apply foundation. It gives an airbrush look to my make up! I have paid 2x as much for another stipple brush and it sheds :( This brush doesn’t shed and its awesome!!”

I absolutely LOVE stippling brushes! I need a lot of coverage, and stippling brushes definitely do the best work for applying foundation. However, I'm not willing to spend a lot of money on a stippling bush like I have before. I'm so glad ELF came out with a stippling brush! I've been waiting for the day. I'm so excited to try it! :)

While I do really appreciate the fact that ELF has made a new stippling brush, I am a little disappointed by the size. It looks very small and flimsy, and I wish it were just a little bigger and denser. So I'm still debating whether I should get it or not. I may just get another powder brush.

I am very happy to see that ELF has come out with a stippling brush, but I, too, would like to see a larger, denser version of one. This one looks like it would be better suited for blush, bronzer, and highlighter. ELF, if you are listening, please make an all-over-face size stippling brush for faster, easier application. Thanks so much.

This brush is excellent for blush and highlighter. I'd say it's also fairly good for liquid foundation but since the diameter of the brush head is a bit on the small side, it's going to take a lot of time to stipple the entire face :). Hopefully e.l.f. will also make a slightly bigger version. :)

Still in awe (to say the least) after reading the above article featuring the Newest addition, the 'Stipple Brush'!!! And YES- I will admit that I'm a wee-bit jealous to have missed out on the opportunity of recieveing once offered-but now ceased offering of thee blessed and now most regretably missed $5.00 coupon- just for posting thoughts, reflections, bits'o'feedback re: the newest addition to the brush catagory... Which by the way, after reading the feedback posted by others (Michelle4444's enthusiasam towards what should be called the 'Triple Stipple' - considering all it's capabale of doing and delivering with absolute ease and most notably, the finishing touches it apparently delivers... And no this is not a snooty, snobbish, nose in the air statement/resememlence, claiming that I believe and enforce the ideas statting that 'Looks are everything'- But societies' social norm has comformed many a persons to believe that one's own given personal stature- is ultimately based and determined on impression alone- regardless of the fact that they're summary of another is completely skewed with reality.... Ahhhh- for it doesn't matter whether they're worng- because regardless, their judgements will not rationalize, unless further engaging occurs- But rarely does such an opportunity arise- So, sterotypes remain--- Sucks-YES, Sounds extremly Superficial and Materialistic- And maybe some of you are thinking the same of me... (but mind you- my profession deals w/ the public on a daily basis & w/ persons within every level of sociteties most crude, extremley broad in defintition- yet, w/ a most lazy approach, embarrrassing and too simply stated for the billions that co-exist...Lower, Middle , and Upper--- Sad, Sucks, Superficial, and the Social Norm is who decides. Sorry, I'm a blogger, as well- Hence my vacation from the computer. I'm known for words at great length (Althogh, this I blame on my height;) Back to the brush and the beauty bestowed within wand, itself - For We all have a desire to look our best (although, for me- today is considered an self-excused absence) -- What I found to be most intrieguing(first was the 'ELF missed me'-Therefore, I thought I should say HI to the says, which then stumbled me upon this page and 'The brush that conquers all' (liking the idea of lesser tools needed, just for a lil' sunburst freshner, so I can face the world looking good- even if the day itself, differs. A little polishing- goes a LONG WAY.... Plus, 'face tools' and a lesser amount, is sounding a bit weird & odd!!?? But yes- Less, is more! Such a conclusion ultimatley stems, or shall I say ,rather paints and provokes us(me) readers into believeing that this one brush- ALONE- will outstand, fulfill, and successfully perform w/ absolute perfection/execution- the role(s)of the multitude of tools we've grown accustomed to utilizing. For each & every one(foundation, primer, compact, blusher/bronser,etc.) served a particular service within our beauty routines- and the above services mentioned, in reality are not stated plurally-- meaning: different product- requires a different tool, as well. By the way- excuse my tardiness with thy comment(ing) and kicking my self for being 20 persons late on your offer. For the holidays were busier then ever((absolute understatement))- And Today is dedicated to nothing but self care, in otherwords, absolutley NOTHING! ( aka: day off, not working, house to myself, alone- silence is golden, and without responsabilites--- 'Til the schoolbus drops off my two most presious & beloved lil' (BIG) noisemakers. :))) Anyways- after intentionally ignoring ALL my home web crawlers (PC's), After finally logging in this AM- I just about fell off my chair to find 5,637 emails, awaiting my retrieval. ***Long story short, deemed it necessary to disregurad the remaining 112 pages, that follow the most recent and focus only on page one- 50 most recent emails (i.e. today)** What caught my attention (and quite possibly lured me in to the purchasing of the 'Stipple' was the multitude of long awaited & dually antipiated capabilities that the brush possesses, such as: 1) the antibacterial & 'SOFT' synthetic strands(BONUS) 2) the ability to use on either wet/or dry products (hands down- unheard of and therefore, pursuading me to ponder the purchasing- Curious as a cat to find out for myself whether or not the brush actually withstands all that its claiming to handle...And lastly, my reasoning is 4) That I have always been a faithful MAC Brush user... Although, my reasoning seems a bit silly being as how evertime I purchase the Big-Dutiful Brush, I'm always told the same thing..."the brush will last a lifetime- guarenteed"! Yet, every year I;m having to purchase a new one- due to the once soft and luxiourious hairs adorning the brush that after time began to thin and become too course for my skin/ or liking, perhaps. ***And yes- I do wash ALL my brushes religiously with a ridiculously expensive brush cleanser. Urrghh- humble with my admitting such silly & expensive & quite possibly unecessary purchases of the infamous Mac Brush that, as stated, I end up replacing year after year.... I'm thinking that maybe I should give this supposedly 'Stellar Stipple Brush' a chance. **Achelle, your commentary and marketing promo towards this brush- deserves an applause. For I too, am in the sales/marketing field- So-Hence, I'm a bit picky'n'particular at times... quite obviousley. Although, I again will state, you have my mind straying from a faithful (&foolish) MAC-Gal... And toying with the ideas of trying the many air brushed qualities and most notably, the fancied'n'versitile'n'long-lived functions it's intended design claims as having!?!? was intended for. Captivated and Curious, I am, indeed!!!

I had a brush like this, I bought it at Kohl"s, and it fell apart. That was $12.00 down the drain. When I get to Target, which is the only nearby store that carries your brand, I am going to buy one. I need a brush that will help give me a more natural look, a look that gives the appearance that the make-up likes my face, not one that looks like it's at war and drying out my face to make me look like I ate something rotten. I'm hoping the brush will give a softer, smoother finish. Fingers crossed !!

I haven't really used many make-up brushes before due to the high costs for those i've seen around, but i've just ordered seven from E.L.F (amazing prices!) and if all goes well, perhaps this one will be next! The fact that it's not going to shed as one uses it is definitely a must. Who wants bristles smudged onto their faces as they apply their look? Not me! (:
