Pregnant Pictures

Monday, April 11, 2011

So I have never been pregnant so I can’t really make a decision on what I would do but I thought I would open it up to see what you think.  Mariah Carey posed on the front of Life&Style Magazine in her birthday suit featuring her very pregnant belly, you may remember Demi Moore’s iconic photo that was very similar.  The article boasts the joys and excitement of being a new mother and the anticipation of her twins. So ladies, would you pose on a magazine bare with belly?

Nope. If people want to, more power to them. Me, however, I think I'm too prudish to pose naked and pregnant. Lol

I would not pose nude if I was pregnant-- but I can understand why someone would be proud enough to do so.

I've been pregnant twice and think and pregant belly is so cute, but I don't think I could do that for millions of people to see. But more power to you if thats what you like.

Nope. I wouldn't post ultrasound photos either. The little guy deserves some privacy.

I've never been pregnant, so i dont know what it would be like either. But, i honestly do think that if i were to take a photo nude with my belly, i would save it for my personal life. When my kids grow up, i wouldnt want them seeing their mother pretty much nude in a magazine that in the odd time isnt even true. stick it in the special photo album!

I'm not sure I would be totally in my birthday suit, but I think if I had the chance I would pose with my belly exposed on a magazine cover.

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing as as the article mentions, one is full of anticipation to "meet" one's baby. If I were pregnant again I would pose on a magazine bare with belly, it's a natural thing and nothing to be ashamed of.

Pregnancy is so beautiful. I would definitely pose bare with belly. The memories it captures is something you wouldn't be able to do any other way. Being a mother of two, I took nude belly shots during both pregnancy's. Why not share that beauty with the world if you have the opportunity to!

I would pose naked with my belly because I think a pregnant woman is absolutely beautiful. To know that a baby is growing inside its like a miracle. I have never been pregnant myself but I can't wait to go through such a wonderful experience.

I would pose nude for a magazine bare with a belly. Pregnancy photos are so beautiful. It's always nice to have pictures of those memories.

I wouldn't, but I'm not a famous singer/actress. They are willing to do a lot of things we aren't. She looks really radiant in the picture. Funny, my friend who works at the hospital she went to saw her. So lucky!

I would pose because it's a beautiful thing, but I doubt that would ever happen because I'm not pregnant right now nor no one will ask me because I'm not famous lol

I can't say that I would. But then again I would never pose nude baby or no baby. I believe that kind of exposure is a bit too much. My husband is the only one who gets to see me that way. Yes, pregnancy pictures are beautiful and I would definately go bare belly, but I wouldn't bare it all in a magazine photo spread.

Yes. I've had a my share of pregnancies, and depending on your support system, pregnancy can make a woman feel a bit insecure. I think a cover like this depicting the beauty of a woman's confidence (as well as her pregnant body) is a strong message to other women to embrace the experience! She is putting herself out there to be subjected to be judged and criticized and I think as a gender we should support her.

Bare belly? Sure. But Completely nude? Not needed. Anyway, this is really not a flattering picture of Mariah Carey, clothed or not.

I don't think that it's wrong... I feel that it is more for showing the natural beauty of a pregnant woman and that the body and life is a wonderful part of God's artwork... Showing off your baby belly as a new mom is just a way of saying how excited you are to start something new and totally miraculous... However, I do have to say that posing completely nude for everyone to see is probably not the wisest thing to do... But just showing off your baby bump I don't think is wrong..

I would pose on a magazine with my pregnant belly. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing, and time in a woman's life. I feel that it should be something for people to see. That being said, I do remember when Demi did it, as I feel that it's one of those things where that should only happen once. It should've ended with Demi, but that's an artisic discussion.

Pregnant pics are great. Nudes... not my personal cup of tea, but more power to you, momma. With that said, though, that picture is HIDEOUS. Whoever decided to put that on the cover should be slapped in the face with a cast-iron skillet.

More power to people who can do it! I admit, I'm too puritanical in public forums. I think alot of America is. I must also admit, Americans have alot of hangups about their bodies & many were told or in unspoken behavior, as children, the more skin you show the more loose the woman is. We tend to over-sexualize the human form. I beleive this is why we frown at people who don't see it the same way.

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing, but this sort of thing should be definitely left private. I wouldn't want these sort of pictures completely exposed. Showing the stomach is different from showing it all.

I think the human body is an amazing thing, and the pregnant body is beautiful. However, I do not believe that posing nude to show the pregnant belly is all that appropriate. Pregnant women do not lose sex appeal, and I'm not prude by any means, I just think showing it off in a sexy, seductive way for the entire world to see shows a lack of class, in my opinion. Have pictures taken for your husband to show that you do, in fact, still ooze sexiness... just don't do it for millions of people.

If I were famous enough to get paid the money these women did, or needed that kind of media attention I might. However,I'm not. So I guess I would keep my baby belly under wraps and show only to family/friends that really cared!
