Want great looking nails?  Here’s a few helpful tips to get you on your way to a pretty manicure and pretty hands!

  1. Avoid UVB Lamps, the ultraviolet light speeds up the aging process.  Use the fan
  2. Twice a week dig your clean nails into a lemon wedge to help whiten and disinfect
  3. Apply a clear topcoat to your freshly painted nails every 2 days to help the color lasting longer
  4. For longer looking, feminine fingers go with a rounded shaped nail to help elongate
  5. Take your vitamins!  Biotin and Omega-3 helps to strengthen and thicken nails

Ok I got one! If you love those red fingernails but the color just wont come off and now you nails are stained!!!!!!! Well take a bowl squeeze enough lemons so they will be covering your finger tips and then soak them for about 15-20 minutes and then take just a little bit of finger nail polish remover when your done and go over your fingernails then wash them in soap and water then throw on some lotion and your hands and they will be clean soft and pretty!!!!

These are great tips, i agree and another way to keep nails looking great is a nice manicure with nude nail polish or a peachy pink for Spring.

-Drink lots of water -Gently push cuticles back every one or two weeks, avoid cutting them off -Allow at least one day without nail polish to let your nails breathe before painting them again

Another way to help color last longer on your nails is to use cheese cloth or a tea bag. It really helps create a strong base for the color and your nail. Paint one layer of color then place a piece of either of the materials on top and let it dry. Then paint another color coat on top and finish with a clear polish. It comes off normally with nail polish remover! It can be a bit of a hassle trying to fit the material to the size of your nails, but in the end, the long-lasting color is totally worth it!

I find that using cuticle oil and moisturizing the hands regularly helps the nails shine too. The elf natural pink nail polish in the french manicure set works really well for a natural look.

I LOVE this tip! I'm always telling people to skip the UVB lamps because they do nothing for your polish, and age your skin!

Because I work in a dental office I'm not allowed to wear polish on my nails and have to keep them a certain length and I hate looking "stubby" but I just rounded my nails and it does have more a femininant look to them, thanks. I'll try to lemon wedge soon!

I knew that nails would turn yellow if you didn't apply a base-coat but I didn't know that by shoving them in a lemon could counteract those effects. That's a really good tip!! What I do is swipe a line across the top of my nails after I'm done polishing them and applying the top coat. I find that this really does make the color last longer. I guess because it's at a different angle and harder to chip.

Ok guys I got one! I found that when I put on nail polish no matter how try I hard, they end up chipping.. SO what seems to work for me is, you know those emery boards that have the steps to make your natural nail shine, its like in a cube shape? well if I do my nails with those steps before and apply my nail polish it last up to almost 2 weeks with no chips! I also tried it on my toes and it did the same thing.. I got about a week and half on my toes with out any chips. I'm pretty sure I could have gone longer but I like to change my toe nail polish more often then my finger nails(I know weird).
