Summer Glow

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Everyone knows that summer means bronze – so pale skin is out!

For a tan look, apply bronzing powder to cheeks in lieu of blush. Apply blush from the apple of your cheeks outward, to your forehead and just underneath your jaw. Try the e.l.f. Bronzing Blush Duo and New Blush in Glow (this tip will also be great for darker skin year-round).

Battle summer blemishes with a superior nighttime acne treatment gel so there's less reason to cover up in the morning.  Also use a clarifying translucent powder with breakout fighting ingredients like the e.l.f. Clarifying Pressed Powder & Tone Correcting Concealer to keep pores clear though out the day.

Remember, day and night makeup should always be different, but being outside during the day can reveal makeup flaws you wouldn’t normally see under halogen lights. So use the natural summer sunlight to help apply your makeup! After applying makeup, go outside or near a window to check for blunders.

Fantastic advice! This really helps so unbelievably much. I didn't know different lights could affect the look of your complexion. Thanks!

I have the e.l.f pressed powder, and though I ordered it in a color too dark for my skin, it seemed to make my skin less oily and cleaner, great job!

I find that bronzers make me look quite odd because my skin is very pale. When I use a bronzer or blush that's too dark it looks completely unnatural. Maybe I am just applying it wrong. I do like the tip about going to a window - I never would have thought of that!

Great tips! Read this review a few days ago and purchased the Tone Correcting Concealer in Apricot Beige and really like it! Had no idea it had breakout fighting ingredients! And have been loving my bronzing blush, if find myself using it more now that summer is right around the corner.

I'm already pretty tan, but I do like to have a bronzed glow :) That's a great tip to apply makeup in sunlight. I wouldn't have thought of it, but it makes perfect sense!

I didn't think of checking for makeup flaws in the sunlight. Good tip! Anything I can do for a constantly flushed face?

Id rather get a tan and lightly tan my face, then apply some tinted moisturizer for makeup. But i agree, day and night makeup should be used differently; for they are not the same thing. Using an acne fighting formula would also help you to not wear as much makeup as you do; because you wont need it!

I lo9ve his products! I love bronzers as I have a high forhead and like to make the illusion of a smaller forehead by placing bronzer along the hairline and topr of the forehead to shadow it and make it look smaller. Also, I love bronzer as I do not tan. I like to use artifical tanning loning on my body but not on my face. The bronzer is a great choice to match the tanning lotion and not have to use it on your face.
