Loose Bra

Monday, July 11, 2011

I learned this trick from a friend (thanks Melissa), do you have a loose bra?  Hate the slipping, sliding and adjusting throughout the day?  Then twist your bra so the twist is in the front in-between both cups to add an instant synch in the fabric to get it a little tighter. You can always take your bra to a seamstress also to alter your bra for a perfect fit, but if you need a quick fix this trick will do the job!  What fashion tricks do you have?

Love the idea, hate when you have to get rid of a bra after a while because it becomes loose

Interesting concept. It certainly sounds handy if you need a "quick fix" as you say, but I wonder how comfortable it is? If the bra isn't designed that way, it might make it uncomfortable to wear it that way.

This is smart! I never thought of this~ I hate it when the straps on my bra become loose too! That's horrible ):

This seems like it might be helpful in an emergency, but if the bra has an underwire it seems like it would be uncomfortable! Hopefully it doesn't bunch up visibly as well. I usually suck it up and buy a new one if it loses it's shape too much! lol

I tried it to one of my bras, which was a bit loose, and wouldn't work if I had a size smaller or larger. It worked great! not too loose, or too tight! Definitely telling my friends about this one!

This is genius. I hate when my bra is loose because I feel sort of funny; it's embarrassing to try to fix it out in public and you can't always find a public bathroom to tighten it.

This is genius!!! I would have never ever thought of that in my lifetime. A beauty secret I can share is Raw potato slices contain potassium to take away dark circles under the eye.

I tried this trick and it worked! Not only did it work on the loose part but it also makes the cup come closer to give great cleavage! :)

That's an awesome tip? What do you do when you have a bra that's still fairly new, but the underwire is sticking out?

if you MUST have a bra but the cup is too small [like, if you wear a D cup but the bra only goes to C] get it one size bigger in the band [instead of a 36, get a 38] and then sew the inner parts of the cup together - in the middle, i mean,. and suddenly, it fits a slightly larger cup! it WON'T work for more than a single cup size [sadly - as i wear a FF...] and it works *best* in those cup areas that are bigger - like converting a D to a DD. the smallest it will work with is a C. but it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to find larger size bras, so it's a trick for everyone suffering from BBS {Big Breast Syndrome] :D

This is a very interesting blog... I would love to share one of my favorite tricks...I'm a B cup and I am always trying to find that extra boost, so I have started wearing my regular push up bra with a sports bra on top...this will give you the extra boost you need and may even make you look a cupsize bigger :)

I wouldn't pay more on top of the cost of a bra to take it to a seamstress. Many stores offer free bar fittings so you can get one that fits perfectly in the first place. (For big-busted ladies like me, Lane Bryant is great!)

This is a tried and true method of saving old stretched out bras, although it may take more than one twist per side sometimes to get the right fit. I've also tried using bobby pins, two on the right side of the bra band after you have tightened it to your liking by folding a section and then using bobby pins to hold the fold down.
