As the leaves begin to change colors in Central Park and you need to unpack your down comforter from the top of your closet, you can feel the electric excitement that is fall and the upcoming holiday season! I've put together a list of must-haves, must-sees, must-dos through the beginning of November!
1. Like Crazy
When I first saw this preview my heart felt like it was going to be ripped from my chest. We all have those first loves where we actually feel physical pain, as if we we were going to die, when being ripped from their presence. With the haunting melody of Ingrid Michaelson's cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love" playing in the background, this movie is sure to even make the most cynical eyes cry. It hits theaters on October 28th.
Sleep No More is like the high brow haunted house for adults in NYC. Housed in the McKittrick Hotel, once a spot to be seen in the days before World War II, the shuttered hotel and a namesake of the Hitchcock classic Vertigo has a spooky aura to it. The theatre experience is based on Macbeth, but you'll see the creepiest, borderline, scariest Shakespeare adaptation that you've ever experienced. The New York Times said, "Messes with your head thoroughly as any artificial stimulant. Spectacular!"
3. Lana Del Rey
Evoking the old world Hollywood glamour of Lauren Bacall and Jane Mansfield, Lana Del Rey is gorgeous and unique! Not only is her style super fresh, but so is her music! "Video Games" is her first single and the video is a haunting walk down memory lane. She even edited the video herself! Check it out! What do you think of Lana Del Rey?
4. Hart of Dixie
My Gossip Girl obsession has poured over into the second hour of Monday night television on the CW. I am now OBSESSED with Rachel Bilson's new show, "Hart of Dixie." Bilson stars as a Dr. who has spent the majority of her life in New York City. After a series of events out of her control Bilson ends up running the general practice of the father she never knew in Alabama! With very cute boys running around town, Wade, George and the former NFL player turned mayor Lavon Hayes, it's about as impossible to say no to this show as it is to say no to Bojangles. A southern girl at heart this is my newest guilty pleasure! I can't wait to see what will happen with Zoe and George? That's right, I'm team George!
What do you think of my October obsessions? Will you be indulging in any of these?
xoxo,
Brittany (e.l.f. Social Media Maven)
