There were a lot of mixed emotions running through Sunday night’s Grammy Awards. With the unfortunate passing of icons Whitney Houston and Etta James, some people didn’t know whether or not to celebrate. Although everyone was saddened, they came to celebrate the night of musical achievement. Katy Perry in particular was expected to show up feeling blue, but used it to her advantage and wore a stunning baby blue Ellie Saab gown with matching blue hair. Girl Power!

Though she was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, unfortunately she didn't take any awards home. We thought she deserved the awards, especially after her performance of the night. Katy left us feeling confused and excited as she performed her new single 'Part of Me'. Dressed in a super sexy superhero outfit, Katy belted out lyrics that made us think twice about her 'amicable' divorce to Russell Brand.

She sang: 'Days like this I want to drive away, Pack my bags and watch your shadow fade 'Cause you chewed me up and spit me out Like I was poison in your mouth You took my light, you drained me down That was then and this is now Now look at me'. This had us concerned because we definitely think this song was about Russell. Did she have a bitter breakup after all?
