Amazing New Brushes!

Thursday, March 15, 2012

Have you guys tried out our new Mineral Powder Brush? Your going to love it! Perfect for applying liquid foundation, buffing on mineral foundation, contouring and shaping the face with bronzer, or applying blush and setting powder. This brush really does it all. The soft, dense bristles pack on color and blends powders and liquids seamlessly! I personally took home two because the brush is just that amazing. At a price this great, who wouldn't? Grab them at eyeslipsface.com!

What is your favorite go-to makeup brush?

I have to say im not one to usually "bad mouth" a product but in all honesty the e.l.f makeup brushes/products SUCK. i bought two foundation brushes, one blush brush & a eyeshadow brush. i didnt even get to use one foundation brush because as i went to apply my makeup the brush completely fell off. so cheap! I also bought concealer and again didnt even get to use it once before it completely fell out. it was my first purchase of the ELF products and i definately regret giving them my money for products that are half ass, cheap, and lame. Hope this helped for ppl :)

I have been using elf studio brushes for about 2 years now and they are the best 3 dollar brushes out there. I mean for 3 dollars the quality is really outstanding. The studio brushes are very different from the essential line brushes which are one dollar each. So If you weren't crazy about the essential brushes give the studio brushes a try. They are extremely soft and really sleek looking. My favorite is the studio line flat top powder brush. It is amazing and one of my favorite brushes in general. I have a LOT of makeup brushes including MAC and sigma, and I truly think for 3 dollars each these are GREAT brushes. I also get allergies to certain brushes when the bristles are too tough or prickly, and i have never had an allergic reaction to these studio line brushes. For 3 dollars each, you really can't go wrong.

I have found myself falling for these brushes. So far I have tried and loved the flat powder brush and the angled foundation brush. They are so soft, do what they are supposed to do and clean well. I want to buy the kabuki brush and stippling brush next. I try to stick with the studio or mineral lines as the essential line is for of a "drug store" quality. I have the white concealer brush and it works okay, but it looks like I actually broke off some bristles. It still cleans just fine, but its getting harder to reshape. But, for a dollar [$] I can't really complain. I am actually liking how these these e.l.f. brushes hold up better than my bare mineral brushes. Not everything e.l.f. is top quality and a few things I would pay more for if they improved the quality of like the facial whip. I have a couple products that I ordered arrive that weren't in good condition. I sent customer service a quick note stating the problem and item numbers and they shipped me new products at no cost. The replacements were good quality and have held up better. I was pretty impressed. They may have a few faulty products that get out there but that doesn't mean their entire line is faulty. And, they stand behind them when they do get out there. Remember they are less than $5. I have a couple bare minerals brushes that I was eager to try and the ferrule (metal part) and the bristles fell right off first use. So, even some of the best brands have "faulty" products.
