What is going on with California couples this summer?! Is there something in the water or is it just a bad case of chowder? (see: Surfer terms)

First, we have the breakup of Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Say what you will about the Twilight series but this couple was pretty cute. They seem to fit well together, but apparently those beautiful eyes and saucy British accent weren't enough to keep Kristen entertained. While filming Snow White and the Huntsman, Stewart had a behind-the-scenes affair with the film's director, Rupert Sanders. To make matters worse, Sander's wife, Liberty Ross, played Stewart's mother, Queen Eleanor, in the film. We're not done yet, the cherry on top is that Pattinson had planned to propose to Stewart and even bought a mansion in LA for them to reside in. Pattinson reportedly left his princess to be alone in their castle after hearing about the affair and has only communicated with her through text messages. Looks like the dream come true for this couple has turned into a nightmare.

Next we have the Beverly Hills power couple, Adrienne Maloof and Dr. Paul Nassif, from Bravo TV’s show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. For anyone that has ever watched an episode, you know that Adrienne and Paul bicker constantly, but it always seemed like they truly cared about each other. Whatever the issues truly are, they apparently haven't been able to work them out, and Paul will be filing for legal separation this week. I'm sure we'll get the full story when the show airs its third season...but we're not sure we can wait that long!

Last but not least we have the never-ending drama associated with all things Kardashian, only this time it's Mama that's making the news. Kris Jenner, mother to the three famous Kardashian sisters, came clean to hubby, Bruce Jenner, about her rendezvous with Todd Waterman, the man who caused the split between her and former husband, the late Robert Kardashian. After running into him on the tennis court, Kris apparently wanted closure. She admitted to Bruce that she had been fanaticizing about Waterman for the last 23 years since their relationship ended. Bruce, who has been married to Kris for 21 years, was obviously not a happy camper. However, he can't act too innocent after his "golf date" with supermodel Angie Everhart. There's definitely trouble in paradise for these two but the Kardashian sisters jumped in and sent the pair to Malibu, where they first met, hoping they could rekindle a spark. 

We wish all these celebrities the best but what do you think will happen? Who will split and who will stay together?
