Fashion Week has arrived and if you're anywhere near New York City, you can smell it in the air (and see it on the street with the recent influx of models everywhere)! Eye popping colors, gorgeous designs and new outfits are enough to get any girl excited and motivated to shop! Fashion Week is fun for everyone and we're dying to know what made it to the runway and what has ended up in the fashion grave yard. Here's a guide on what to keep in your closet this year from our NYC based Fashionistas!

Stay Sporty

According to our friends at Glamour, the athletic trend is really taking off, which is great for any girl who's not in love with wearing heels everywhere. Keep your flats, leotards and sporty jackets handy for next spring, and while you're at it, invest in a cute Shorts Suit for spring! Keep the Bright Colors

We've seen a lot of vibrant colors so far this year and we are happy to hear they won't be going anywhere! Famed Fashion Designer, Diane Von Furstenberg's show was filled with bright, gorgeous colors for Spring 2013. The shades of blue and green were our favorite, the final piece in the collection (shown below, Photo Credit: Getty). 

Shades of Gray

It may be a result of the frenzy surrounding the release of EL James' hot and heavy Fifty Shades of Grey book, released earlier this year, or the fact that black and white has gotten a little tired in the recent seasons, but the new color of Spring 2013 is said to be...gray. It's softer than pure white and less edgy than black, but it's said to be the go-to color after winter lifts into spring.
