Berry Flush

Thursday, September 13, 2012

Here's a monochromatic berry look on the beautiful Zoe Saldana. Our focus here is the cheeks which give the perfect Fall flush. Here's how!

1. After applying your favorite foundation, apply our Mineral Blush in 'Plum' to the apples of the cheeks using our new Angled Blush Brush. Blend the blush back towards the hairline.

2. Blend out any harsh lines with our Kabuki Brush for a flawless look!

If you're pale skinned, go for a rosy blush. If you're medium skinned, go for berry toned blushes and if you're darker skinned, go for a plum or maroon shade of blush.

I'm going to try the plum mineral blush and do jewel tones on the eyes for the fall. I have used the wild watermelon gloss all summer and i might stick with it for my lips or go a lighter shade.

I'm loving berry lips! I just bought an elf lip pencil so I can wear them all day without worrying about feathering.

My favorite trends for the fall are the deep rich colors for the eyes and nails. I like to have softer cheeks and lips with dramatic eyes and nails.

I always get excited for the deep jewel and leaves colors that come around in the Fall. I love wearing deep oranges, yellows, and reds on my nails to match the leaves!

I love that bold lips are back. The elf red matte lipstick is a perfect color, and the pencil shape makes it so much easier to apply than regular lipstick!

For fall, I definitely like wearing plum and berry tone shades on my lips and eyes. It really adds a sense of glam to my face without looking overdone.

This fall, I'll be creating my own trends! I'm not one to follow the crowd or even care about what other people think of me. I wear whatever I have in my closet that is clean, and while I do tend to wear more earth tones during this season, I will just go with what feels good and is weather-appropriate. As far as makeup, I like to wear shimmer on my face, regardless of the season, and since I have light skin, I tend to go for a pink/rosy blush in every season. I will wear more of a rich lip color or just lip gloss. I sometimes color coordinate my eye makeup, but I tend to gravitate toward the smoky eye look, and sometimes, I go for "less is more" with regards to eye makeup. A little mascara and liquid liner suit me just fine some days. Last but not least, this is the time of year where I can get away with dark colors on my nails, including black! And around Haloween, I wear very bold colors, in celebration of the holiday. That's my story, what's yours?

While I love the berries I also love the orange tones. I think ill carry my coral items over and use a Smokey eye with it. Your baked shadows will do I think!

I usually go "Earth Tone" , however this fall, I am changing over to brighter and bolder colors because my "look" needs a boost! I am looking at your mint & tangerines - I love your products and definitely to play!!!

It couldn't be nicer as this autumn is here for a deep makeup look. After I prep and apply my foundation, just under the cheek bones, I apply two dark lines from my e.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder, between my eyebrown and forehead, then upper cheeks, following under the deep lines from the Contouring Blush, I apply my e.l.f. Studio Blush in Gotta Glow then to finish, I take my Complexion Brush with a little of High Definition Powder in Translucent and apply it with tapping motion allover my face. I finish the face makeup with my Kabuki Face Brush that has previously been swept in my e.l.f. Studio Bronzersin Warm Brozer. I fancy a lot doing that step whith the 3 number, starting from the side of the head, following the cheek bone, back to cheek bone and just above the neck. With E.L.F not expensive eye make up (but fabulous colours), the eyes, and lips can be "played" by someone having that look that stars do pay a fortune for a makeup artist. Dina

I love Fall!! The smell in the crisp air and jeweled tone colors!! I will be wearing deep jeweled tone colors with earth tone eyes and peachy blush.. If you haven't tried one of ELF'S new baked bronzer, eye shadows, and blushes!, They are wonderful. Just add water to your baked product and you get a more intense color. They are great for toting all day as they are solid. Thanks ELF I love your products!!!

To bad i won't have that much time to be trying out different looks for fall since i won't be wearing makeup for 9 months starting november, but until then i think this look is definately suitable for my darker skin tone and im glad i bought the new HD blush in showstopper as i think it is a perfect berry color since i dont have the mineral blush in plum, also i love the darker colors on the nails too like elf's cranberry and medium red...but i have also tried blush and its a nice glam nail color that can be carried over into the winter holiday season...as far as lips i definately LOVE my dark colored lips for this season since all summer i was going crazy with the orange, pink, and fuschia colors...so i think wine and velvet reds and browns will be great. I'll do more nude lips too so my eyes and cheeks can have it
