Cleaning your brushes is crucial for keeping the quality of your brushes in tact for a
long time. If you take care of them, they could last you (almost) forever. There’s daily
cleaning of brushes and there’s deep cleaning—here’s how to do a Daily Cleaning!

 

Cleaning your brushes daily is easy. Most brush cleansers come in
a spray bottle. Just spritz the bristles of your brushes and wipe off the makeup on a paper
towel. There’s no need to drown the brushes in cleanser because it’s just a temporary quick
cleaning in between makeup applications. Makeup artists should use this method in between
clients (especially with lip and eye liner brushes). For your own personal use, we recommend
doing this method around 2-3 times a week if you wear makeup everyday.

I also find that my make up gets better coverage when my brushes are clean. So even a quick clean does wonders.

I've been using ELF's daily mist and clean for 2 years now. I gave a bottle to my sister as well. I use the ELF product daily, then once a week I wash all of my brushes with a gentle baby shampoo,with a very small drop of olive oil added. My brushes are an investment and keeping them clean is an important step to their longevity.

I love the idea of the Daily Brush Cleanser for cleaning brushes for color changes. Once a month I also do a deep cleaning with castile soap & white vinegar.

I love the brush cleaner! One tip I always do...when I clean my brushes I don't just wipe with a paper towel I reshape.them. If the brush is a fan style I dry and refan. If it is a round bush I lay my towel down....press the cleaner outpushing from the base out to the tips.

I really like the idea of the daily brush cleansing spray. I usually was mine our with shampoo but it takes a while to dry as well. This seems like a much better way!

I use the daily brush cleaner on all my brushes once a week. I also deep clean with Johnsons baby shampoo

i put a little shampoo into my palm and swirl my brushes around into it. the n i rinse facing the brush downward so that the the water dosen't ruin the handle are that connects to the bristles...then i let them air dry on a towel... ps. i leave my mini kabuki brush fasing down so the water dosent get into the nub area...:]

I use a daily cleanser after every use. Once a week I give me brush a deep clean with olive oil I dab a paper towel with olive oil and swirl my brush in it, and then I wash the brush using baby shampoo.

For my brushes usually I use antibacterial dish soap and let them dry at a sloped angle...if it isn't possible to face them completely downwards.

My best advice is to run the makeup brush under warm running water. Apply a small amount of shampoo of course E.L.F.brush cleaning shampoo to bristles and work into a light lather. Rinse. Do not try with a towel. AIR DRY AIR DRY AIR DRY

I use the elf brush shampoo, and it gets them so clean and soft. On my more dense brushes, I also use a deep conditioner on the hair every other wash. It does wonders for the hair on them.

I just recently started using elf's brush cleaner shampoo and I immediately noticed a difference with my makeup. My eyeshadow is more vibrant and it looks a lot better!

Cleaning brushes immediately after use, of course! But my special tip is this: It's important that the bristles dry flat, straight, and pointing in the right direction. To ensure that they do, especially on some of my larger brushes, I use a tiny eyelash comb and VERY GENTLY "brush" any bristles that aren't quite right. It gets them back in place, and they dry perfectly.

I love using a spray cleaner in between more serious brush cleaning. You need to keep your 'tools of the trade' clean. I also have brush guards that I slide over my brushes to hold their shape.

I like to use a small piece of cloth instead of a paper towel. I have about half a dozen of them and I wash them in between uses. In my opinion they do a better job of getting rid of excess makeup.

For a quick cleaning, I wipe my brushes after each use and in-between colours on a face cleaner/make-up remover wipe.
