how to: Heart Tipped Nails

Friday, February 15, 2013

We wanted to do a classy, fun, yet work appropriate mani but wanted it to be unique too! Instead of doing your typical French Manicure, we did a Heart Tipped French. Here's how:

Step 1: After filing nails and applying a Clear base coat, apply two coats of our Nail Polish in 'Nude'.

Step 2: Using 'Sea Escape' start from the middle of the nail on the left side. Paint a line downwards in a diagonal line.

Step 3: Paint another line coming from the opposite direction, and overlap the first line.

Step 4: Fill in the sides of the nails if you missed them.

Finish off this look with a clear top coat and you're good to go!

Patti

This Is Super Cute. I can't wait to share it with my daughter. Less expensive than press on nails and the salon.

I like to use starkly different colors to do my manis with, like dark blue and light green!

The way I shake up my manis is usually by adding glitter or by going out of the box and using bright and bold colors or getting each nail a different color.

This is absolutely the cutest style I have ever seen. It almost reminds me of a little tuxedo for the fingers! I love it and can't wait to try it out(:

That looks super easy, but I think I would try different colors. I am not a fan of nude. Thanks for showing this..

I would make the heart a little more dramatic. But, I do like the dark tips. It's a nice change from the white. I always think the "classic French" nail looks like stripper nails, so it's good to see some variations.

I usually paint a clear, shimmery, iridescent, or glittery base and then paint my visible nail line with a nude or blush colored nail polish. The end result is always super pretty and feminine :)

I love the idea, I would go for a cool pink color and maybe an eggplant for the tips. ;)
