Luminous Skin Is In!

Thursday, May 02, 2013

Glowing skin is the key to looking youthful and healthy! Luminosity can be feigned easily and unnoticeably with every girls best friend, makeup. The trick to achieve this fresh, bright look is to apply highlighter to specific areas to illuminate our features.  Grab our Studio Angled Blush Brush and swirl it around the Studio Blush 'Gotta Glow'. Tap the brush to remove any excess product and apply the highlighter to high points of the cheekbones (just above where you'd apply your blush), under the brows, and to the cupids bow (just above your top lip) for a gorgeous glow!

Which do look you prefer- Luminous or Matte?

If pulled off correctly, the luminous look is brilliant! If it isn't done perfectly, like the picture above, the look can come off as shiny/sweaty. Matte is pretty good overall still.

for light olive complexions: tinted moisturizer or bb cream mineral blush in coral on apples of cheeks and top half below brow bones studio blush in giddy (gold) to highlight cheek bones and contour temples studio cream eyeliner in gold to top lash line essential silver/white shimmer pencil to water line lash extending mascara pink gloss (like hypershine in flirt) Takes all of like 5 minutes to do and creates a beautiful summer glow! :)

If my skin wasn't oily, the luminous on this girl is brilliant. And she just looks tan (fake, of course), with her brows done, which are outstanding and a coral or tangerine gloss. I don't think fair skin can pull off this look, especially if it shows below neckline. However, she looks stunning. And it's true, the brows shape the face.
