BACK
the no-makeup, MAKEUP LOOK!

Thursday, April 10, 2014

At e.l.f. we LOVE putting our makeup to the test and today we're showing you how to get a minimal, non-makeupy look for everyday.  These super easy steps are sure to make you look flawless no matter what your skin type or the occasion and we're pretty sure you have most of these easy-to-use products anyways!

STEP 1: mix a drop of your MOISTURIZER, FOUNDATION AND PRIMER into your hands and make your very own tinted moisturizer! Apply evenly over the face and add more of the foundation as needed for fuller coverage. Here we've used the Hyrdating Face Primer and the Flawless Finish Foundation in Sand.

STEP 2: Using the Flawless Concealer Brush, blend in a few drops of the Essential Shimmering Facial Whip on the highest points of your face, (your forehead, cheek bones, bridge of the nose, and chin).

STEP 3: If you haven't tried our Studio HD Blush, this is the perfect time to! Using a slightly wet sponge, take a tiny drop of the blush and blend into your cheeks for the perfect flushed look. Powder blush can look too heavy if you're going for a minimalistic look, but cream melts into the skin. We used the color Headliner in our photo, but don't be afraid to try something brighter based on your skin tone!

STEP 4: Using the "C" Brush, pat a light colored shadow into your eyelid. We used the Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in First Date. This will give you a subtle glow over your eyes.

STEP 5: Finish off the eyes with a liner between the lashes, and a few coats of mascara brushed out to open up your eyes. We've also used a light colored liner on the inner-rim to open up the eyes even more- this is a great trick if you've got smaller shaped eyes or hooded lids.

STEP 6: Don't forget about your brows! They're the frame to your beautiful face and if they're too thin, you will look washed out. Using a brow comb, brush on the powder from our brow-kit over your whole brow and then define using the gel and liner brush to create the look of tiny hairs or fill in hairless areas.

Enjoy the compliments on your skin and natural glow when you try the no-makeup, makeup look this week!

xoxo
Sonia

I really love the Studio BB cream for a natural look. Having rosacea, I have to sometimes put some mineral concealer on, but it gives the same effect for me due to my oily skin. I love the wet sponge for the hd blush! Thank you! I bout the lightest shade available and no matter what way I've worked it, its too bright for my pale complexion. I will try this because I love the color and texture!
