Touchup Tricks!
Touchup Tricks!TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 2011 You probably invest a good amount of time into putting yourself together and looking your best each morning. But as soon as you walk outside, with all the pollution and things in the air, your skin becomes saturated with a ton of free radicals like dirt and oil. At some point, you’ll probably want to touch up your makeup, but it’s important that you try to remove some of that junk from your skin first. Using an oil-blotting sheet or tissue on your face should help reduce the transfer of bacteria by lifting off the excess oil from your skin. The most beneficial ones are the sheets infused with tea tree oil (not sheets that are powder-coated), which can help with removing some of the bacteria. After dabbing your skin with an oil-blotting sheet or tissue, begin with a multipurpose product, like a multicolored powder that can be used in many ways on your face or a lipstick that can be used as a blush substitute. Add or fix your color where needed and then take a mattifying liquid, put it into the palm of your hand, and mix it with a bit of antibacterialgel then press that on top of your makeup. Doing this will actually make it look like you’ve taken out a brush and put more powder on to give yourself a refreshed appearance

Weight Loss Question
Weight Loss QuestionWEDNESDAY, MAY 05, 2010 Q: The question I get all the time.“I'm trying to lose weight, tried several diets and not having any luck. What would you recommend?” A: In my opinion, there's only one true way to lose weight. Eat fewer calories per day than your body uses. Everyone burns calories just by being alive, it's called a basal rate. Once you find this rate out, you can plan the amount of food and exercises needed to burn more calories than you consume. (Shape Magazine's website has great tools and a community to help you find this out). Now, if you have a lot of weight to lose (more than 25lbs) you're likely to see loose skin and sagging where it was once needed. With proper nutrition, your body has the chance of reducing this occurrence to some extent - the more weight you have to lose, the less your body can do to return to a desired state - and I would obviously recommend my firming crystallines as a take along with your work out to add to water. Spa Facial at home
Spa Facial at homeWEDNESDAY, APRIL 28, 2010 The number one DYI service that can really compete with a high end spa treatment is a deep facial moisture wrap. This is a treatment that exfoliates the epidermis gently, dissolves visible debris like black heads and white heads while intensely moisturizing and providing a natural glow. This DIY treatment can be achieved by using simple ingredients like oatmeal (gentle exfoliate) mixed with honey (a natural skin antibiotic) massage the mixture into the skin with your forefingers. If you can, safely use a vaporizer or pot of boiling water with a towel holding in the steam for 3 minutes. This will open up the pores just like at a traditional spa and soften the debris in the skin so it can easily be massaged out. You would then rinse with warm water to obtain a glow. You can then paint on a combination of Greek yogurt and buttermilk onto the surface of the skin. Both of these ingredients have high concentrations on lactic acid (gentle yet as effective as glycolic acid at low levels to smooth out the skin) and the viscosity of the Greek yogurt will allow it to adhere to the skin better. Let that macerate on the skin for 10 to 15 minutes. You can't forget those tired eyes! Pack two new coffee filter cups with freshly brewed coffee grounds on eyes and it will help the puffiness around the entire eye area to look well rested. You can then gently rinse with warm water again. Then to finish out the facial and hydrate the skin at the same time, break open 5 liquid gel vitamin E capsules and combine them with aloe Vera gel (this combo won't make you break out). Massage the mixture gently into skin and poof...a professional DYI facial in your own home. If you want extra hydration, add a pearl size amount of your favorite day or night moisturizer.
