Want to Recover From Crying Eyes?
Want to Recover From Crying Eyes?FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2010 Have you ever had a cry fest and now your eyes are suffering? No worries combat those puffy eyes with a few little pick me up tricks! -To treat puffy eyes take an ibuprofen (Advil) right away as it reduces swelling and it will help with any headache that you probably got from all the sobbing. You can also try crushing an Advil in some milk and then soak cucumbers in it. Take the cold cucumbers and then apply them to your eyes for about 5 minutes.
-To treat redness around the nose and mouth try a drop of Visine and rub in, this will help to constrict the blood vessels.
-To disguise the discoloration around the eye, use a light concealer and blend in. You can also apply a pearl eyeliner in the inner corner of the eye to help make them look more awakened.
-To help your eyes from looking droopy, apply mascara on the bottom lashes and curl your top lashes, avoid putting dark mascara on your top lashes, opt for a clear or a light brown to make your eyes look natural and not to dramatic as this can draw too much attention to them
-To minimize red lips apply a nude lipstick and apply gloss over or try applying a little concealer to your lips prior to lip color
Here’s a couple tips from our e.l.f. fans:
-belles_boutique @askelf- Visine eye drops are a must followed by tea bags soaked in ice water for 5 mins on each eye to reduce puffiness of the eye area
-look up! look up if you feel like you might cry... it works, not sure why or how, but it does. If it happens and you end up crying... i always take a cool wet paper towel (@work) or a real hand towel (@home) and apply it to take out the heat
and redness and then use some quick red reducing eye drops.-Shannon KAnd don’t forget it’s ok to grab some tissues and shed a tear but try to then hug it out and smile! What do you do to combat against crying eyes? :)
And for every valid web comment on this blog only we will give you a Free $5 e.l.f. coupon via email just to say thanks (1 per person, to the first 25 posts only).

So What if I go to Bed with Mascara On?
So What if I go to Bed with Mascara On?THURSDAY, JANUARY 07, 2010 We all spend a ton of time on e.l.f. and other sites pouring over the perfect makeup. We all want to look glam and I’m no exception. I’ll do ANYTHING to diminish lines, cover dark circles, make my eyes pop and give my cheek that girlish glow. Even if prep time takes a little longer than it used to, I’m happy to say that most times I’m still at least ‘satisfied’ with the results- especially with the help of e.l.f. studio line brushes. They are fab at making any application top notch! At the end of the night, though, I’m not quite as good as I used to be at takin’ out the old cold cream, toners and cleansers and taking off the layers. Who cares? I’m just ploppin’ into bed. I’ll deal with the damage in the morning. C’mon ladies. You know what I’m talking about! Over at GALTime.com, we wondered, is it a big deal to stay dolled up when you dream? We asked a top dermatologist from New York City. Here’s her expert advice. WATCH NOW... Charlene Bert and Susan Krivelow are co-founders of GALTime.com.
