Is Bee Venom the New Botox?

Kate Middleton has it all. Among being a royal Duchess and fashion trendsetter, she also has her gorgeous  skin. Of course, this flawless beauty doesn't come cheap. According to Vanity Fair, Kate can’t go without her $250 bee-venom facial by Deborah Mitchell of London’s Hale Clinic and the Heaven salon in Shropsire.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, reportedly turned Kate onto these bee-venom facials shortly after the royal wedding. Kate has been a fan ever since and receives one before all official engagements, including the London 2012 Olympic Games.

What exactly is a bee-venom facial? Well, it's not as scary as it seems. Dubbed the organic facelift, bee venom tricks the skin into producing more collagen and elastin, which helps smooth out wrinkles. The anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory

agents in bee venom also boosts the immune system, temporarily relaxes facial muscles, breaks down cell membranes and

improves circulation. Translation: you can maintain a tighter complexion for a few days after the bee venom facial and look completely refreshed. Both Camilla and Kate use the at home treatment, Heaven Bee Venom Mask as well.

Some compare it to Botox but if you want to try this at home don't go overboard! If bee-venom is used repeatedly, it can actually damage the skin, causing a severe allergy that may ruin cell membranes. Bee-venom is also used to destroy malignant tumors so in this case, you really can have too much of a good thing so watch out!

What do you guys thing of bee-venom facials?? Are they the new Botox or just another facial mask to choose from when you visit the salon?

I have to tell you.  After performing my $2,000.00 HD Diamond Facial on Ashley Greene and having been booked to work on the other cast members, my love for the books, movies and the characters have gone to a whole new level!  Here’s a secret that I tell all my celebrity fans!  Make certain that you buy new brushes every 3 months.  That’s just one of the many reasons why I developed the elf professional brushes, so you can clean them easily before each application so you protect your skin from all the bacteria and aging free radicals.  You can buy the whole complete set for the price of one high end brush (and you can’t tell the difference AT ALL).  So, each one of my celebrities take multiple sets (one for their make-up artist, one for home and one for their travel case).  Then after my prescribed time frame, they get recycled.  Flawless skin with every swirl and tap!  You have to love that!

That "Rolled Out of Bed Beauty Look"
That "Rolled Out of Bed Beauty Look"
WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 2009

Looking like you just have that “rolled out of bed beauty” is extremely hard to achieve!  You have to start with great skin care, but then you must understand how to layer your cosmetics so blending becomes and art.  What I tell all my celebrity clients  (when they have to do their own make-up) is TAKE YOUR TIME.  Mix your primer with your moisturizer.  That will change your life.  I promise you.  Then either layer liquid foundation or blend in your foundation powder until it starts to glow like natural skin.  Make certain your don’t forget your eyes, lips, neck, décolleté, ears etc.  The canvas has to be perfectly primed to then paint on the color.  Remember always to layer on the colored products lightly.  You can always go back and add more, it’s harder to take it off.  Always do cheeks last, as your eyes and lips will dictate how much you need (and if you need to extend it a bit from the apples of the cheeks).  Now here’s the BIG SECRET!  Take a fine mixing spray bottle.  Fill it with Cucumber water.  Then take one full tissue and cover a quarter of the face.  Lightly mist over the tissue, gently press it on skin, then gently peel it off.  Do that with the other areas of the face.  Mark my word..... your make up will look more natural and people will come up to compliment you!
