Winter Hair Help!
Winter Hair Help!MONDAY, MAY 17, 2010 I’m already pulling my hair out at how winter’s wreaking havoc on my hair…and spring’s nowhere in sight. Static? Please, let’s not even talk about it. I have thin, fine hair. Some days, there’s so much static, it’s a wonder I don’t find all those missing socks from the laundry stuck to my head. (Wait. Let, me check. Phew! Nope… no socks. At least not today!) Still, the static –and those fly-aways make me crazy. You ladies with thin hair know what I’m talking about. Our hair takes on a life of its own in winter. Maybe we can form a support group or something. Oh, and then there’s hat-head. On super cold days, an oh-so-fashionable chapeau is great while you’re traveling TO work or shopping or wherever. It’s the ‘what happens when you get there’ that’s a nightmare. I’ve literally had people look at me with pity when the hat comes off. Let’s say I give ‘flat’ a whole new meaning. So, what’s a girl to do? GALTime.com style mavens Kerri Winick and Andrea Krivelow from CelebutanteSisters.com uncovered some hair-raising solutions for all of us from two celebrity stylists.

So What if I go to Bed with Mascara On?
So What if I go to Bed with Mascara On?THURSDAY, JANUARY 07, 2010 We all spend a ton of time on e.l.f. and other sites pouring over the perfect makeup. We all want to look glam and I’m no exception. I’ll do ANYTHING to diminish lines, cover dark circles, make my eyes pop and give my cheek that girlish glow. Even if prep time takes a little longer than it used to, I’m happy to say that most times I’m still at least ‘satisfied’ with the results- especially with the help of e.l.f. studio line brushes. They are fab at making any application top notch! At the end of the night, though, I’m not quite as good as I used to be at takin’ out the old cold cream, toners and cleansers and taking off the layers. Who cares? I’m just ploppin’ into bed. I’ll deal with the damage in the morning. C’mon ladies. You know what I’m talking about! Over at GALTime.com, we wondered, is it a big deal to stay dolled up when you dream? We asked a top dermatologist from New York City. Here’s her expert advice. WATCH NOW... Charlene Bert and Susan Krivelow are co-founders of GALTime.com. Go Glam in Grey
Go Glam in GreySATURDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2009 I’m already stressing out about the holidays. Decorations up? Got that one covered. Holiday cards ordered? Oops! Not yet. Presents bought? Hhhmm…not sure how I’ll ever motor through the entire list. Whatever. What I’m really worried about: What will I wear? I’ve started canvassing my closet, admittedly seeing what will fit. (Darn, why didn’t I lose those 10 pounds in October and November?!) No worries, I’ll turn to the good ‘ol standby… my little black dress, right?? NO??!! Apparently not. According to the GALTime.com style experts from Celebutante Sisters, it’s no longer about the LBD, or little black dress. No, ladies. This year, you should be glammin’ it up in grey! Want some style tips on how to pull it off, no matter what your style? READ this… Charlene Bert and Susan Krivelow are co-founders of GALTime.com. Am I Too Old to Wear Boyfriend Jeans?
Am I Too Old to Wear Boyfriend Jeans?THURSDAY, OCTOBER 01, 2009 Most of the time I think I’m pretty cool. When it comes to clothes, I’m not exactly a fashionista… but I keep up with the trends and have a daughter who will gladly keep me on track (read that as ‘tease me’) if I go astray. One area I thought I had covered: jeans. I mean, c’mon. Jeans are easy, aren’t they? Maybe not. Every year the ‘in’ style changes: wide leg, skinny, even denim leggings. OK, as a 40-something (shhh, don’t tell anyone) professional mom, I know enough to skip the leggings. But, what about BOYFRIEND JEANS?! They’re the “it” style this season. Is there an age at which the word ‘boyfriend’ just does not apply, especially when it comes to fashion? Can I still wear them? Can you? Guess what? We can! Here are some savvy solutions from GALTime stylist Leigh Heffron.
