Get the glow this spring with e.l.f.'s BAKED COLLECTION! Our model Donia was the perfect canvas to show you how to incorporate baked makeup into your daily routine, so check out the step-by-step guide below and glow on:

STEP 1: Apply your foundation in the desired coverage and even out your complexion. We used the e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Foundation Stick and Small Stipple Brush to create a smooth base.

STEP 2: Work those eyes! fill in your brows to create a frame and add contrast to your face, and apply a cream shadow on your lids in a light/gold color. We used the Essential Smudge Pot in Gotta Glow and applied with the e.l.f. Studio Contour Brush.

STEP 3: The e.l.f. Studio Baked Eyeshadow Palettes in NYC and California were the perfect addition of glow to Donia's eyes. Use the "C" brush to pack on color over your cream shadow on the lid. This will create a solid glow but also prevent creasing! We also used a few deep shades from the Endless Eyes Pro Palette in the crease of the eye and edge for definition.

STEP 4: Don't forget your cheekbones and the high points of your face- apply the Studio Baked Highlighter to those areas for a dewy finish on the face. We used the Blush Gems and Moonlight Pearls to get Donia's look and then added our Baked Bronzer to her nose, hairline and jawline. Complete the look by adding Mineral Infused Mascara to your lashes, some color to your cheeks with the Studio Blush Palette and a gorgeous lip color like Fashionista Studio Lip Stain!

xoxo
Sonia

Anti-aging Trick
Anti-aging Trick
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30, 2011

For aging skin, it's really important to get as much oxygen as possible to the epidermis to avoid further problems such as wrinkles and loss of elasticity in your skin. Therefore, avoid clothing made with polyesters and nylon because those materials don’t allow the skin underneath the fabric to breathe. I suggest wearing more breathable cotton fibers because the more oxygen your epidermis gets, the more it will allow the cells to stay healthier longer and that will ultimately give you a more youthful appearance. Plus, if you're putting an anti-aging moisturizer on your skin each day, the oxygen will continue to activate the formulations in the product so it will have a better penetration effect on the skin all day long.

For over a decade, Scott-Vincent Borba has been a renowned innovator in the beauty category and has worked on such esteemed brands such as Hard Candy Cosmetics, Johnson & Johnson®, P&G/Wella-Sebastian, Shiseido/Joico, and Dr. Murad.
Scott-Vincent helped found E.L.F. Cosmetics with the idea that quality color cosmetics shouldn’t be limited to high-end department stores. Aside from contributing to the monthly blogs, he oversees new product development and leads the brand with head-turning innovation.
Scott-Vincent has been a high-fashion model, TV personality and became a licensed aesthetician to further his credentials and experiences. He founded BORBA, and continues to use his creative thinking to push the envelopes of skin care as we know it.
