how to: WINTER WONDERLAND
how to: WINTER WONDERLAND
MONDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2012

Everyone please give a round of applause for Chrissy, my latest pictorial victim. We found a way to glam up her eyes while giving her face a warm glow for the winter months! Basically a pictorial for those of us that don't want to look too pale this Winter. Here's how:

Step 1: Apply our Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in 'Confetti' to the lids and across the lower lash line for bright-eyed sparkle.

Step 2: Using an Eyeshadow 'C' Brush, apply the lightest shade from the Brightening Eye Color in 'Silver Lining' to the inner half of the lid.

Step 3: Using the same brush, apply the lavendar shade to the outer half of the lid.

Step 4: Line the eyes with our Cream Eyeliner in 'Black' for definition and contrast.

Step 5: Using our Flawless Concealer Brush and Complete Coverage Concealer, conceal any under eye circles.

Step 6: Apply two coats of our Mineral Infused Mascara for gorgeous lashes.

Step 7: Apply our Baked Bronzer in 'St. Lucia' to the crease of the eyes for warmth, and around the face. Apply the bronzer across the nose and cheekbones, as well as the forehead. This will give you an all over glow, as opposed to a contoured look.

Step 8: Apply our Baked Blush in 'Rich Rose' to the cheeks. The tones in this blush will warm up any complexion.

Step 9: Finish off the look with a swipe of our Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in 'Summer Nights'.

I'm feeling warmer already!

how to: CHRISTMAS MAKEUP
how to: CHRISTMAS MAKEUP
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2012

Holiday cheer is in the air! Wear this look to any holiday party for Christmas. This bright eyed look is fun, festive, and the bold red lip is perfect for the holiday season! Here's how:

Step 1: Apply our Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in 'Confetti' to the inner corners of the eyes and blend along the eyelid as a base.

Step 2: Grab our Brightening Eye Color in 'Day 2 Night'.

Step 3: Apply the lightest cream shade to the lid using our Eyeshadow 'C' Brush.

Step 4: Contour the crease lightly using the bronze shade with an Angled Contour Brush for definition.

Step 5: Line your eyes with our Liquid Eyeliner in 'Black' and wing out the edges.

Step 6: Apply our Essential Lengthening & Defining Mascara in 'Black' to the top and bottom lashes.

Step 7: Grab our Cream Blush in 'Flirt'.

Step 8: Apply the blush to the apples of the cheeks using your fingers. Make sure to blend!

Step 9: Line your lips with our Lip Liner & Blending Brush in 'Wine'.

Step 10: Fill in the rest of your lips with our Matte Lip Color in 'Rich Red'.

Step 11: Using the 'Blend' side from the lipliner, or a Retractable Lip Brush, blend the lipstick in with the lipliner so there is no harsh line.

Step 12: Wipe above your cupids bow pulling downwards to really define your pout!

Merry Christmas!

how to: HUNTER GREEN HALF MOONS
how to: HUNTER GREEN HALF MOONS
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 01, 2012

Hey elfettes! This months color crush is hunter green! We thought it would be perfect to feature one of our new nail polish colors from our brand new holiday Nail Cube! The hunter green is the perfect hue and is super pigmented. We paired the look with our nail polish in 'Desert Haze'. Here's how:

Step 1: Apply one coat of our Nail Polish in 'Desert Haze' to the nails. Don't worry if it's a little sheer, you're only going to see the top part of the nail anyway.

Step 2: Drop a bit of the Hunter Green Polish on a piece of paper and dip in your Angled Eyeliner Brush.

Step 3: Trace out the half moon shape on your nails with the hunter green polish.

Step 4: Fill in the nails' bottom half with the hunter green Nail Polish.

Step 5: Finish with a clear topcoat and you're good to go!

How easy was that?

how to: 1920s PINUP
how to: 1920s PINUP
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2012

We were so lucky to have Meredith from Meredith and the New Yorkie come check out our studio! We decided to do a glam 1920s pin-up look with a winged eye and the perfect red lip. Here's how!

Step 1: Prime the lids with our Eyelid Primer in Sheer to create a base that will keep eyeshadow crease-free.

Step 2: Apply our Mineral Eye Brightener in 'Buff' all over the lid using an Eyeshadow 'C' Brush to brighten the eyes.

Step 3. Using our Mineral Pressed Eyeshadow in 'Out All Night' and a Contour Brush, define the outer 'v' and crease.

Step 4: Using our Cream Eyeliner in 'Black' line the eyes and add a wing for a cat eye effect.

Step 5: We applied some falsies on Meredith for some extra glam and finished off her eyes with our Mineral Infused Mascara.

Step 6: Next, contour the cheeks using our Angled Blush Brush and our Contouring Bronzing Powder.

Step 7. To line the lips for definition, we used our Lip liner & Blending Brush in 'Wine'.

Step 8: You're almost done! Fill in the rest of the lip with our Matte Lip Color in 'Rich Red'.

Step 9: Finish off the look with our Glitter Gloss in 'Crystal Cranberry'.

Step 10: Give it up for Meredith! A true Femme Fatale!

Check out Meredith's awesome lifestyle blog at http://www.meredithandthenewyorkie.com/ and let us know what you think of our glam 1920s Pin Up look!
