Most Popular Halloween Costumes of 2012
Most Popular Halloween Costumes of 2012THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2012 Halloween is only a few days away and I bet many of you are celebrating early this weekend! We've been talking about and planning our Halloween costumes at e.l.f. HQ for weeks! According to SheFinds.com, here are the most popular Halloween costumes for 2012!
You'll need a whole lot of spray tans to pull off spots #1 and #2 belonging to "Tan Mom" and "Honey Boo Boo Child" And for any girl that's 20 something and lives in Brooklyn, you can go as yourself because the cast of GIRLS is #3 on the list of most popular Halloween costumes.
Some of our other favorites to choose from are the Snooki and her baby (#12), the "new" Mylie (#17, which conveniently doubles as Justin Beiber) or you can keep it classy and waltz around like you're the Duchess of Cambridge (#15).
Look below to see what we're dressing up as at the e.l.f. office, then tell us what you'll be dressing up as! Chrissy, our exuberant designer, is going as the Target Lady! (It fits her personality perfectly already)
Achelle, our innovative Creative Director, is going as a Hot Potato! She bought a potato sack of Etsy.com and plans to wear it as a dress!
Elle, our speedy Marketing Manager, plans to dress up in "cute" version of Flash!

how to: VAMPIRE
how to: VAMPIREWEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2012 We decided to do a 2-in-1 how to for a vampire look! The beginning half is for those of you who truly want to frighten your friends on Halloween, and towards the end is a more glam version. Please excuse my hands, I got a henna tattoo at a friends wedding party. Onto the look!
SCARY VAMPIRE LOOK Step 1: We need a blank canvas for this look so apply our Flawless Finish Foundation in a shade lighter than your natural skin tone for that 'dead' look. Step 2: Apply our Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in 'Out All Night' to the lid and up to the crease with our Eyeshadow 'C' Brush. Step 3: Using our new Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in 'Silver' apply that to the lid for some sparkle. Step 4: Apply our Liquid Eyeliner in 'Black' to the lid and extend a wing outwards. Step 5: Apply our Mineral Infused Mascara to lashes. Step 6: Using our Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in 'What's Your Name' and an Angled Contour Brush, create dark circles under the eyes. Step 7: To deepen those tired looking eyes, use the same brush with our Baked Eyeshadow in 'Burnt Plum' closer to the lash line. Step 8: Using the Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in 'What's Your Name' and our new essentials Powder Brush, contour the cheekbones. Step 9: Using our Lipstick in 'Fearless' paint just the insides of the lips so that it looks like you just sucked some ones blood ;) Step 10: Apply our False Eyelashes for some added drama. Step 11: Apply Cream Eyeliner in 'Black' to the lower lash line. Step 12: Apply Mascara to the lower lashes. Step 13: Finish off the scary look with some defined brows. We used our Eyebrow Kit in 'Dark'. Which look will YOU try? Patti, contributing elfette
SEXY VAMPIRE LOOK: Step 1: For a more glamorous look, wipe off the under eye circles and lipsticks with our Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths. Apply our Cover Everything Concealer to natural under eye circles. Step 2: Using our Brightening Eye Color in 'Drama', pick up the black eyeshadow with that same Eyeshadow 'C' Brush and define the outer v. Step 3: Bring the color up in to the crease and blend. Step 4: Line the lips with our Lip Liner & Blending Brush in 'Wine'. Step 5: Fill in the lips with our Lipstick in 'Fearless'. Viola! READ MORE... |
