I guess it varies for every liner of this because it really didn't work for me. Its so messy to apply. I have tried so hard to apply it lightly but it just leaks out too much product. I barely put any and it spilled into my eye before it dried and took forever to take it off HALF OF MY FACE. It gets everywhere! Its terrible. Wouldn't buy again.

Despite the bad reviews on this eyeliner, I really like it! I agree that it can be difficult if you are wanting a really thin line, but for the most part i can get it how i like it. Very nice and dark for eyeliner pen, and so far it has not showed any signs of drying out. Although its waterproof, i have no problem getting it off with a normal make up remover

I can't find the single tip pen anywhere anymore so i decided to give this a try. It is almost impossible for me to use. The eyeliner pours out of it like a faucet and I can't get a controlled line. If you prefer a thicker line it might still work for you but I don't so i might as well toss this.

Why aren't stores selling the Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen anymore?? That one is GREAT. The cap came off mine (happened a lot but I still loved it) and it dried out. Went to buy more and I can't find it anywhere. So I bought this and tried it out, it's horrible. I LOVE ELF but this is the worst product I've ever seen from elf.. Please bring back the old one into stores.

Ladies,
I was so excited when I first bought this eye liner and applied it to my brows. As you can see from my first post my brows looked nice (at least I thought so). However, I am sad to say that the very next day after posting my reviews I went to apply my eyeliner and poof, nothing, all dried up! I tried to press it to release product and on paper it did, but not on my brows. So the bottom line is that I am not sure why this product does this, but it"s a big disappointment that it dries out because other than that fact; I like it. So for this reason I have to drop my ratings. Please ELF fix this issue.

I bought this eyeliner at the store, because it was waterproof and had previously tried the other waterproof liquid eyeliner pen and liked it so much. I must say, this one isn't as great as that one. It's hard to use, I'm able to apply it on one eye and then it dries out! Not to mention that the applicator is rough on the skin when applying. I will not get this one again.

THIS THING IS HORRIBLE!!! went into target looking for my fave HG aka the original waterproof eyeliner pen & come to find they don't have it anymore. I saw a clarins version of this pen so decided to give it a go. I WILL give it props for being SUPER jet black and it is waterproof/long lasting but the applicator is terrible. It's stiff and hard and it feels like i'm scraping my eye with a blade. I had mastered a one stroke cat eye with the other pen and because the tip of this is a rectangle it is impossible to do a flick. HORRIBLE! I'm never buying this again. I hope they bring the other pen back. It'll be a pain having to order online.

Well for one thing,it is definitely no waterproof.It easily dripped of with H2O. You would think it not to be so good since it's cheap,but not that cheap. I only got to use this 3 times until it just dried off. And I know I closed it tightly cause this never happens to my other eyeliners or makeup.After that I thought, is this a joke?Another things is it was tricky to use and and it is sort of painful depending how you use the liner.Also it was to thin.I love elf but this one is a big NO NO. They should stop selling this.

Difficult to apply, I waited a minute after testing on my hand and then got it wet. It became a black runny mess. It all washed away. I got some in my eye and it burned.

I use this product just about every day and I am in love! I have oily lids (liners nemesis) but this holds up all day and night (sleeps well too lol). The only set back is the applicator tip. It is very very stiff so you have to be careful when applying. I'm used to the felt tip liner pens and made the mistake of being a bit too rough on my eyes and had to leave it alone for a bit while my lids healed haha. Other than that, it's one of the best liners I've had in a while.
