I picked this up a target, on my first use it didn't show up on my lips at all and was nearly dry. Then on the second use it was completely dry and wouldn't even show up when I tried scribbling really hard on the back of my hand with it. I was really disappointed and the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because usually I'm very happy with e.l.f's products so I decided to try this product again and assume the one I got was just a dud.

i had just gotten into wearing lipstain since i was tired of eating my lipstick so i picked this up in two colors, it will stay for a period of time if all you do is talk but other than that you really have to apply it often. i dont know if t was because i left it in my car but one of them just smells so BAD

I have the lip stain in pink petal and I love it as a base layer under other lip sticks and glosses. I have really really pale lips and it can be hard to find lip colors that aren't too light for my pale lips. Usually light lip colors just look washed out, like they aren't even there, so I usually have to apply liner underneath. But when I apply this lip stain it really opens up my options. And it looks more natural than a liner. I also like that the color isn't at all orangey. For along time I didn't by this because I thought the shade would be too warm for me but it's just right. And the color lasts all day, even after I eat. It is a bit drying but that can be counteracted with an application of gloss and/or lip balm. Very happy with this product, I wish I would have bought it sooner.

I bought this in Nude Nectar which didn't really give me much color. It dried up after 2 uses and I threw it away. I'll stick to my drugstore favorites for this type of product.

Got this in nude nectar which is just a bit darker than my lip colour. While on it's own it's not really pigmented enough and is drying, I found using it as a lipliner is fantastic! Shaping my mouth is really easy with it and the lipstick fades on top in a way that doesn't make me cringe when I look in the mirror

So, I bought this in the Nude color... it turned out more of a red, which was good. I like how it looks on my lips. It lasted a good couple hours before I had to reapply any more.
What I didn't like about it was that it took ALOT of work to get some good color, and it went on unevenly. When it started fading, it only started fading on the outside of my lips, which was strange.
I bought the one in Pink Petal to try a different color, not knowing what color I'd really get on my lips.
It ended up being a really pretty fuscia color, that went on a whole lot easier than the other. It also goes on more evenly, and it lasted me ALL day. I love it by itself or with a little bit of shimmer balm on the top. Definitely trying the other colors, and this is a go to for me now.

This works wonderfully and looks great. I got it in Pink Petal and the shade goes with pretty much anything. Pretty pigmented, but not too bright. It gives a nice glow to my very light skin and it feels like there's nothing on my lips! Lasts for ages and is easy to retouch.
Also, moisturize your lips often if you find the color doesn't go on smoothly or wears off fast.

When I saw these available on e.l.f. I was super excited! They were so much cheaper than the ones I usually buy, but had very similar application and coverage. The only problem is that the applicator smelled of mildew ... in LESS than a month! I do live in south Florida, and it's very humid here, but I would still expect ANY product from ANY line of cosmetics to hold up better than this did. Super disappointed! I hope they figure out the flaws with this product, and reintroduce it ... because I would buy it again in a heart beat if it didn't spoil.
