Comments about elf Cosmetics Nail Polish:

I bought "Desert Haze."

It looks like a cool, stone grey in this online swatch, but it's quite a neutral-to-warm beige! It's a great nude nail color for my skin.

I ended up really liking this color. But it's difficult to apply smoothly. I'm not sure if it's the formula that's strangely thin and a little too quick-drying, or if it's the brush that's too coarse. Either way, unless I applied rather heavy, thick coats, this particular color would not smooth on my nails evenly.

It can be opaque in one coat, easily. Some nails I left as a single coat, other nails had too many grooves in them, so I tried another layer to even it out. Eh, sometimes it worked, sometimes didn't.

But I used a thick top coat (Wet & Wild top coat that's kind of old and drying) and it greatly minimized the grooves and flaws of the polish. Seche Vite would also be a wonderful top coat with which to solve this problem.

Would I repurchase? I think I would. It looks nice on my fingers, while still being a unique color next to my skin tone: nude, but not weirdly ghost-like.

And the thing about these polishes is that I have a few that apply wondrously even. It just seems to depend. Like some of their face brushes shed, some don't at all. I'm sure this minor inconsistency happens with a lot of their products.

Comments about elf Cosmetics Nail Polish:

I bought this at CVS in a seafoam green color. I love it, its excellent for its price, i enjoy the color, it is smooth, but i did not find the brush easy to use. The brush seemed small to me, it was hard to see what you are doing as you use the brush. Bottom line i would buy this again and keep extras on hand.

Not too impressed

Comments about elf Cosmetics Nail Polish:

For the price, you can't really complain much about this polish...in terms of performance (durability, smooth application) it's pretty much on par with any other nail polish of the same price. The biggest problem is that the colors (at least the ones I got) aren't as nice in person as they look on the website. I got Coral Dream (way more orange-y and bright than the nice rich coral color shown in the picture), Desert Haze (not a nice lavender but more like a goth, corpse-like purple; but looks ok with a glitter polish over it), Nude (not a nice muted petal pink as shown in the picture but much more truly "nude" in color rather than pink), and Mint Cream (not at ALL the lovely light minty color shown, but a much brighter turquoise-y color). If the colors were more true to the picture, I would've rated them higher. However, for the price I might be willing to try some of the other colors to see if I have better luck.

Comments about elf Cosmetics Nail Polish:

I have this in several colors, some with sparkles and some without. It is easy to apply and the finished result is a very smooth and even looking manicure. That being said, some of my colors do start to chip very soon, but I have found that adding some sort of top coat greatly reduces this. Great color selection, and for the price it can't be beat.

I bought this nail polish in Purple Pleaser and it is such a lovely colour. I've had the nail polish on for about a week and it still looks good. Also the formula is not sheer at all, one coat provided the colour as is. I normally apply two coats so it was done just for the sake of it.

I put that the product has great color but also not true to color. I purchased the polish in Teal Blue. The color is more green than a blue tint but nonetheless its a gorgeous color! The paint is brushed on nicely as I only needed a single layer. It dried relatively quickly. Also, it looked fantastic with a matte top coat. I will definitely purchase more colors!

Comments about elf Cosmetics Nail Polish:

For me, this nailpolish is a total miss. They have such pretty colors too, so it bums me out that these don't work for me. No matter what I do, no matter how clean I make sure my nails are, this stuff peels right off within an hour or two of drying. I'm not talking a little chip, the WHOLE thing pops off, in the shape of my nail. For me, this is not worth the money, despite the modest price. :(

P.S. I would recommend this to a friend who doesn't have a problem with nailpolish popping of like I do. Unfortunately, nailpolish isn't something I can cheap out on. :/

I love this! I am not sure why people say it has a strong smell, I personally don't believe it does.

I bought a bunch of different colors, so far I love all of them, right now I am wearing the Passion Pink, which is sooo pretty. Wish the gold was a little more noticeable though, but, I also have it accented with the liquid metal on my ring fingers.
