I use this brush to apply highlighter to my cheekbones and browbones. I never used a fan brush before, so I thought I'd try a cheap brush first, and if I liked it, then I'd buy a better one. I don't need a better one; this one picks up and blends powder perfectly, and mine hasn't shed.

I love fan brushes but this one is horrid. Mine came bent, bristles were frayed, and it was way out of shape. If your thinking about buying this brush, you might as well invest 2 more dollars and you will get the same brush in amazing quality from the studio line.

WHEN I GOT THIS BRUSH N THE MAIL, IT CAME DESTROYED WITH MANY BRISTLES FRAYED AND DRY. NOT SOFT AT ALL! DONT BUY THIS!!!! IF YOU NEED A FAN BRUSH, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OR REALLY ANY OF THE ESSENTIAL FACE BRUSHES, GET THE STUDIO ONES THEY ARE SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER

This brush is great! I did think the brush would be a lot smaller but it's actually a lot better larger than I thought it would be! It's soft, the bristles are wonderfully delicate for a soft flush of colour or powder on shiny spots... I wouldn't suggest contouring or doing any hard work with this brush, it is wonderfully delicate, but for simple looks, not contouring agressively, it could shed the bristles but that would be your fault, not e.l.f.'s, because it's mainly made for softly sweeping on makeup. I barely sheds for me but just a little on the lower bristles by the metal thing, but not a problem. I think for [$] it's amazing, completely affordable and will do the job with soft precision. A must-have.

i mostly use this brush as like, a broom for makeup. it's really great for if i spill loose powder or something i can just sweep it back in the container. it does shed a tiny bit but for [$] who the heck cares??

I would like to say I'm a big fan of all my other ELF essential brushes, but not so much this one. When I got it, a lot of bristles were sticking out to the sides and many fell out. I washed it once in soft shampoo which mostly helped the problem, and since then it has been dedent, but not the best brush I ever owned. So you can try it for the price if you want since it costs so little.

For the money spent it is a good deal. I, like everyone else, use it to brush away eyeshadow fallout. The bristles are sparse and not uniform at all so I wouldn't use it to apply any products. One side has almost half the amount of bristles as the other. In the end, I'm not upset I bought as I do use it everyday and will continue use, just not using it for what I thought I would.

I love this brush! It's great for wiping away excess eyeshadow or glitter after applying. My only complaint is that the bristles shed sometimes, like most of the essentials brushes. For the price though, it can't be beat!

I use this brush to wipe away any eyeshadow excess and to apply my bronzer. The bristles are a bit sparse so I might get the higher e.l.f. line but I can't complain for the $.
