I have multi colored (graying) eyebrows, which don't match my dyed grating hair, and this really helps even out the color while looking natural. I just apply the color, let set for a moment, comb through with my ELF Studio eyebrow brush, and then us the setting gel. I never noticed how bad my eyebrows would get mussed during the day until I started using the setting gel. The gel keeps them in place. I must say that I was warned that the color could be too dark, so I use the blonde even though my hair is medium brown.

I use a mix of Ash and Medium on my brows. I tried some on my hairline and it was fantastic, so I ordered some Deep to touch up the white skunk stripe I have at my hairline. I also use on temples and hair part as my color grows out. The stupid root mascara stuff my stylist sold me cost 5 times times as much and it flaked. This stuff lasts through hair sprays and showers until you shampoo it out. You can feel it if you touch it but it does not flake off on your hands. Bonus now I have an extra treat side for my brows YAY the treat side runs out faster than the tame side LOL.

ELF, the name is sooooooo wrong!!

Elfettes would rate this product higher if the name was not so confusing!

****If you have thick, unruly brows, Tame will make things worse. Get ELF clear/brow mascara instead.

****if you already have nice brows and just want to define them, just get the ELF brow kit.

Treat and Tame is for fixing problem brows that are sparse, over-plucked, thin, graying, patchy, or uneven. It immediately makes brows look prettier, and over 1-4 months, actually gives you better brows without makeup!

Use TREAT at night for:

1) growing in thin or patchy brows
2) growing back plucked brows, (worked on me after years of plucking!)
3) soft healthy brows with less fall out
4) Works as brow "hair gel" if you want to comb brows into pretty shape at night after applying ;).

The TAME side is good for:

1) A thickening coating of color on brow hairs that stays better than pencil or gel.
3) Filling in patchy areas on brows. Tame really sticks to skin.
4) Sets as a flexible "fixative" so you can comb or or brush up brows with decent hold.

Tips:

Tame can be messy til you get the hang of it. To get it on right:
- Wipe brush on inside of container.
- Brush along natural line of brow and let it DRY before shaping. OR use Tame brush to color and shape, then use a swab to wipe excess before it drys.

2) To fill in bare patches, dip eyeliner brush in Tame. I use ELF Studio Angled Eyeliner brush to draw in little hairs where I need them. Let Tame dry before touching or applying other makeup to avoid smudging.

2) If your brows are thin but too dark, use as light shade of Tame to thicken and subtly lighten.

3) Dip swab in product to touch up brow roots between dying/bleaching.

3) As another reviewer said, color inside of brow with a lighter shade than outside to open close-set eyes. I tried it, it looked great!

4) I bought several colors of Treat and Tame for different day/night looks. You can blend and layer shades while it is wet for lighter/darker, cooler/warmer.

My way over-plucked eyebrows are growing back. Even the little bare patch on one eye that has been shiny and hairless for a decade. I use the clear treatment twice a day. You need to be ready to give it a few months, but it works.

The color part is a bit tricky to learn to use, because it really does adhere to your brow (and to your skin if you get it in the wrong place). I brush it on, then use a cotton swab to wipe the excess. I use the very tip of the brush to draw in the barest areas. Once you get the hang of it, its easier than a eyebrow kit, but more hassle than an eyebrow pencil. But unlike pencil it lasts and lasts.

For a night time look, I an eyeliner brush to more precisely line and fill.

Get a shade lighter than you think you need. If you have sparse outer-brows, get Ash for your inner brow and one of the browns for your outer brow. Voila, balanced, natural brows again.

I don't know what the treatment end of the product will do for someone who just naturally has thin brows, but for over plucked brows, its the bomb. For the first time in YEARS I feel comfortable walking out of the house without eyeliner pencil. I haven't used the other products out there, but they are 20 times the cost, so who needs them!

I got this in Ash and I have Strawberry blond hair. It darkens my natural eyebrow color. Works real nice, however I suggust using a clean mascara wand (spooley) to brush the product through the eyebrow to spread the color and make sure there's no clumps. overall its a great product.

My eyebrows are thinning and turning gray/white. This is the best for covering the white hairs without being clumpy or too dark (like mascara).

I applied the tame side first then the treat. I juss brushed lightly trew, you wanna apply it gentle. It dried up realy fast, n after it dried up i got really good pigmentation. I have black hair , but i never color my brows black i always use a dark drown color. My treat and tame is In color dark, and it gave me the perfect shade. I belive the reason people complain is because they pick the wrong color.

I like this product i have dark brown hair and i ordered light and its perfect. I feels really heavy and wet when you first apply it but it drys and you cant even feel it. Its tricky to apply but i love it.

It was very heavy and clumpy, the brush was not very good either. The color was not right and I can't see the difference of what the tame side does.

I like the formula and it tames and shapes my brows well, but the brush is pathetic. The bristles are frizzy and awkward. Also, I would like it if they made a color darker than "Dark", as I have dark brown hair and brows but the color is a tad light on me. Other than that, it's a good brow gel for an awesome price.
