Shake the Natural Mineral Foundation ? SPF 15 back and forth to get excess powder loose into the tray. Gently glide over the powder with the Total Face Brush to grab the powder, bring your brush to the cap to work in the powder to the brush, then tap off any excess. Apply to areas of the face that need coverage by working into the skin in a circular motion.

I love this foundation - I use it in porcelain. Before I put it on, I use a primer that works for my oily skin before hand so it will last longer. I like using the Studio Powder brush with it. After I use this and finish my makeup, I use the Mist and Set, and it gets rid of the powdery look that I can sometimes get depending on how I do my makeup. I have pretty oily skin, and with this foundation I don't have to worry as much with my face getting so oily so quickly. I just use blotting papers when it does get oily later on in the day.
I was looking for a foundation that would:
-Show my freckles, but hide the bit of redness
-Not oxidize
-Match my light skin tone
This is it.
I am still not sure what it looks like in pictures, because of the SPF 15 in it. I love the price, and will certainly buy more in the future. I'm glad I tried it out.

I really love this stuff. I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts and mineral foundations are the only ones that don't cause me to look shiny at the end of the day. I normally use BareMinerals but this stuff is just as good. My only complaint is the container is far too small, I can barely get my brush in it! Not to mention I don't like having to buy it often and pay shipping again. I wear makeup everyday so I go through it kind of fast. This has buildable coverage and I pair it with a foundation primer and the e.l.f. Booster mineral powder over top! Matte finish all day and my face is still fresh and smooth not oily and caked at the end of the day!

As a person with very sensitive skin, I am very picky as to what products go on my face. Last year I discovered another mall brand that I absolutely loved; however, it is just too expensive! You can imagine my surprise when I happened upon e.l.f. products and found this foundation. While it doesn't necessarily have the same initial coverage as my last foundation, it does cover well. I actually like e.l.f.'s product better, because I feel that it has better oil/shine control. I also recommend that this product be used in conjunction with the mineral primer. I find that it has much better staying-power when used together. The central complaint that I have for this product is the tiny container in which it comes. I definitely think e.l.f. should consider offering this product in larger containers, not only so that it lasts longer, but so that one's brush is able to fit more easily into the container.

This product goes on great, provides good coverage, and looks completely natural. You can't tell I am even wearing foundation, which gives a gorgeous natural look while providing good coverage for blemishes and unevenness. It also blends easily with elf powder blush, giving a very lovely, flawless finish.
In addition, this product receives high ratings by the ewg, meaning it is safe for you to use without exposing yourself to parabens, pthalates, and other toxic chemicals.
The only drawbacks are that it gives me allergy problems (sneezing and runny nose), the container is smaller than I would expect, it's hard to manipulate my elf powder brush in such a small container, and if you want good SPF coverage you need to use an additional product.

I usually had to spend too much on the expensive brand minerals (very sensitive skin), but found it made me look too cakey or ghostly, or itch and break out! I literally found elf by accident, but I will never go back. Unbelievable quality and unbeatable price! I had to try it myself to believe it. I am so grateful as I have tried virtually every brand makeup, but they all irritate my skin and eyes - not elf. Thank you for the great products, elf. I am an elfette for life.

I bought this in the darkest tone which is about 6-7 shades darker than my natural skin tone. I have never used this as a foundation like it is intended to be used, I thought I would try it as a contour since there aren't any matte contouring powders from this brand. To my dismay this foundation also has some small glitter in it. What is up with ELF cosmetics and glitter??? I don't want my face to glitter... Anyway, I tried it and it is extremely hard to blend, it looks bizarre and I can only imagine how hard it would be to use as a foundation. I regret this purchase.

So pleased to have tried this mineral foundation. I have alwasy been a "brand" buyer....but decided to give ELF a try when I found out they do not participate in animal testing. I love this foundation....it is my new go to. I think the quality is just as good and the price is just great. The fair and porcelain are matches for me and blend great and keep me matte ALL day. No breakouts, not cakiness. I use it with the HD powder....another great find!

I love this makeup! My only suggestion would be to buy one shade lighter than normal because it is pretty dark. I buy the concealer powder one shqde lighter than the foundation, and ive had to use that all over and just use the foundation as a contouring powder until i buy more. Maybe when summer comes and i have some sun it will be the perfect shade... ;)

I use this foundation over elf primer, and it lasts all day. It doesn't settle into fine lines as much as the popular mineral makeup I'd used for 6 years before discovering elf. Compared to what I used previously, it is a smaller container and the product is not as fine milled, but that does not affect the application or the finished look. I really think this makeup is a better value than the one I used before.
