Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a good powder foundation I got this on a 50% off sale (which is probably the only way I would have bought it as I think $8 is a bit expensive but maybe I'm just cheap.) I have been testing it out on it's own, as a setting powder, and as a touch up powder. The way this works best for me is on it's own. As a setting powder and a touch up powder, this made me shiny rather quickly (and I don't have the most oily/shiny skin.) However on it's own it had decent coverage and lasted almost all day (although it did wear off some but almost everything does on me.) I tend to use more dewy foundations (like the loreal true match lumi and the ELF BB cream) so maybe that's why it makes me more shiny when I use it as a setting/touch up powder (since the foundation itself is already somewhat dewy.) So I think this would work best as a setting/touch up powder if your foundation was already a more matte finish. At first the finish is BEAUTIFUL, however it cakes up on me quite quickly :( Overall I would say test this out if you can get it half off. But if you have very oily skin definitely pass on this (in my opinion.) I wish I could give this a 3.5 rating but alas I can't, so I did round it to a 4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural finish For a few years now I've just been using mineral powder as foundation. I have been very devoted to MAC MSF but that gets pricey to buy every 2-3 months. I wasn't expected a great product with this when I ordered it because I only paid $4 for it during the 50% off sale. But this powder has exceeded my expectations and the finish looks very good, isn't cakey, isn't too drying and doesn't break me out. The coverage is similar to that of MAC where it's light to medium depending on how you build it. I definitely like this better than Physicians formula mineral pressed powder. The only thing I feel like could be improved would be the staying power as it lasts a full work day but it transfers quite easily when I hug my boyfriend touch my face but it's normally fine. For me I wear Medium in MAC MSF and I got the shade light and it is a pretty good match for me. I may have to get the beige in the summer though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product!!! I just ordered and received this product. I used it today instead of my Physicians Formula powder foundation. I use the ELF tone correcting powder, this Pressed Mineral Foundation, and then the ELF Mineral Booster. The look was flawless. Have been shopping all day and my face (an over 65 year old face) still looks fresh and clear after an all day wear. Can't beat that with a stick. Would highly recommend this product!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great price...that's about it :( I'm on the fence about this product.I am a huge powder foundation fan, it's all I wear, and I have tried them all (Clinique, Makeup Forever, Bare Essentials, etc...) I've learned through the years that I HATE loose powder and only pressed will ever do. I was so excited when I realized E.L.F. had a pressed powder foundation at a tenth of that cost as the others!I found the coverage is acceptable. It's not a silky as the others I have tried. I also feel like I can scrape it off my oily face at the end of the day (gross). It may or may not have added quite a few clogged pores that I've noticed recently. There is no oil control what so ever. The worst part is my compact broke :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Happy I Bought it! I have purchased several pots of the loose mineral version. I do like it,but anything that is in loose form is messy to use, as the powder will have a tendency to fly all over. So, after seeing that a pressed mineral foundation was released, I was super excited.I happen to have sensitive, combination-to-oily, acne prone skin. Also i do use Retin A on my face as well. I know that this foundation has mineral oil in it, which is normally something that individuals with my skintype avoid using any products with this ingredient in it at all. However, I decided to take a chance in buying it anyway. This foundation has a velvety feel to it, as it isn't chalky at all. It provides light-to-medium (buildable coverage). I do not use the sponge applicator thst comes with it, instead I use a brush to apply it with, which works just fine. Now, i do adhere to a very strict cleansing routine that involves making sure that all of my makeup is thoroughly removed from my face at night, before apply Retin A to it. As a result of such, i have not experienced any breakouts from this powder foundation at all. It goes on smoothly, provides good enough coverage for me, and i do find it to last at least 5 hours or so, before I start to see that it does need re-touching.I do believe that this is a foundation is worth trying no matter what your skintype is. Definitely, don't let the fact that it has mineral oil in it scare you away. Now, when it comes to picking the right shade match, that is probably the hardest thing when it comes to finding the perfect color for your skintone. Therefore, you really have to do your best at picking out a shade that looks closest to your skintone. As, the shade that i got which is Warm, actually appears more warmer in tone on the website than it does in person. But, i am totally fine with it, as it isn't that big of a difference from my actual skintone.Overall, I really do like this foundation very much and I definitely do plan to buy more.
